Psalms 41

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

(По слав. 40) За първия певец. Псалм на Давид. Блажен онзи, който обръща внимание на сиромаха; в зъл ден ще го избави ГОСПОД.

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

ГОСПОД ще го пази и ще съхрани живота му; той ще бъде блажен на земята и Ти няма да го предадеш на волята на враговете му.

The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

ГОСПОД ще го подкрепя на болничното легло; в болестта му Ти ще преобърнеш за добро цялото му състояние.

I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Аз казах: ГОСПОДИ, бъди милостив към мен, изцели душата ми, защото съгреших против Теб!

Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

Враговете ми говорят зло за мен: Кога той ще умре и името му ще загине?

And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

И ако дойде някой да ме види, говори лъжа, сърцето му събира в себе си зло, и когато излезе навън, го разказва.

All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

Срещу мен шепнат заедно всички, които ме мразят; зло замислят против мен:

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

Казват: Нещо лошо го е сполетяло и както е легнал, няма вече да стане.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Дори и близкият ми приятел, на когото имах доверие, който ядеше хляба ми, вдигна пета срещу мен.

But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

Но Ти, ГОСПОДИ, бъди милостив към мен и ме изправи, за да им отплатя.

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

По това познавам, че съм Ти угоден — понеже врагът ми не тържествува над мен.

And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

А мен Ти поддържаш в непорочността ми и си ме утвърдил пред Своето лице до века.

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Благословен да е ГОСПОД, Бог на Израил, до века! Амин и амин.
