Acts 8

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judæa and Samaria, except the apostles.

А Савел одобряваше убиването му. И в онзи ден се надигна голямо гонение срещу църквата в Ерусалим; и те всички, с изключение на апостолите, се разпръснаха по юдейските и самарийските области.

And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

А благочестиви хора погребаха Стефан и много го оплакваха.

As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

А Савел опустошаваше църквата, като влизаше във всяка къща и отвличаше мъже и жени, и ги предаваше в тъмница.

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

А тези, които се бяха разпръснали, обикаляха и благовестяваха словото.

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Така Филип слезе в град Самария и им проповядваше Христос.

And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

И множествата единодушно внимаваха в това, което им говореше Филип, като слушаха и виждаха знаменията, които вършеше.

For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

Защото нечисти духове, като викаха със силен глас, излизаха от мнозина, които ги имаха; и мнозина парализирани и недъгави бяха изцелени.

And there was great joy in that city.

И голяма радост настана в онзи град.

But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

А имаше един човек на име Симон, който преди това правеше магии и смайваше народа на Самария, като представяше себе си за нещо голямо,

To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

в когото внимаваха всички – от най-малкия до най-големия – като казваха: Този е великата Божия сила.

And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

И внимаваха в него, понеже дълго време ги беше смайвал с магиите си.

But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Но когато повярваха на Филип, който благовестяваше за Божието царство и Името на Иисус Христос, се кръщаваха и мъже, и жени.

Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Самият Симон също повярва и като се кръсти, постоянно придружаваше Филип и се удивляваше, като гледаше знаменията и великите чудеса, които се вършеха.

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

А като чуха апостолите, които бяха в Ерусалим, че Самария приела Божието слово, изпратиха там Петър и Йоан,

Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

които, като слязоха, се помолиха за тях, за да приемат Светия Дух;

(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

защото Той не беше слязъл още върху нито един от тях, а те бяха само кръстени в Името на Иисус Христос.

Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Тогава апостолите полагаха ръце на тях и те приемаха Светия Дух.

And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

А Симон, като видя, че с полагането на ръцете на апостолите се даваше Светият Дух, им донесе пари,

Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

като каза: Дайте и на мен тази власт, така че на когото положа ръце, да приема Светия Дух!

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

А Петър му каза: Парите ти заедно с теб да погинат, защото си помислил, че Божият дар може да се купи с пари.

Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

Ти нямаш нито участие, нито право в това нещо, защото сърцето ти не е искрено пред Бога.

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Затова, покай се от това твое нечестие и се моли на Господа, дано да ти се прости това намерение на сърцето ти;

For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

понеже виждам, че си изпълнен с горчива жлъч и си вързан в неправда.

Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

А Симон в отговор каза: Молете се вие на Господа за мен и дано не ме постигне нищо от онова, което казахте.

And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

И след като свидетелстваха и разгласяваха Господното слово, те се върнаха в Ерусалим, като благовестваха в много самарийски села.

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

А Господен ангел говори на Филип и каза: Стани, иди към юг, по пътя, който слиза от Ерусалим през пустинята за Газа.

And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

И той стана и отиде. И ето, човек от Етиопия, скопец, велможа на етиопската царица Кандакия, който беше поставен над цялото й съкровище, беше дошъл в Ерусалим да се поклони

Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

и се връщаше, като седеше в колесницата си и четеше пророк Исая.

Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

А Духът каза на Филип: Приближи се и придружи тази колесница.

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

И Филип се завтече и го чу, като четеше пророк Исая, и каза: Разбираш ли това, което четеш?

And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

А той каза: Как мога, ако не ме упъти някой? И помоли Филип да се качи и да седне с него.

The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

А мястото от Писанието, което четеше, беше това: ?Като овца беше заведен на клане; и както агне пред стригача си не издава глас, така не отваря устата Си.

In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

При унижението Му Той беше лишен от праведен съд, а рода Му – кой ще го изкаже? Защото се взе животът Му от земята.“

And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

И скопецът заговори и каза на Филип: Моля ти се, за кого говори това пророкът – за себе си или за някой друг?

Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

А Филип отвори уста и като започна от това писание, му благовести за Иисус.

And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

И като вървяха по пътя, дойдоха до една вода. И скопецът каза: Ето вода, какво ми пречи да се кръстя?

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

(И Филип каза: Ако вярваш с цялото си сърце, можеш. А той в отговор каза: Вярвам, че Иисус Христос е Божият Син.)

And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Тогава заповяда да се спре колесницата и двамата – и Филип, и скопецът – слязоха във водата, и той го кръсти.

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

А когато излязоха от водата, Господният Дух грабна Филип и скопецът вече не го видя, а продължи по пътя си с радост.

But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Cæsarea.

А Филип се намери в Азот; и като минаваше, проповядваше благовестието по всичките градове, докато стигна в Кесария.
