I Kings 13

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Beth–el: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

И ето, един Божи човек дойде от Юда във Ветил чрез ГОСПОДНОТО слово, когато Еровоам стоеше при олтара, за да кади.

And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.

И той извика срещу олтара чрез ГОСПОДНОТО слово и каза: Олтаре, олтаре, така казва ГОСПОД: Ето, син ще се роди на Давидовия дом, на име Йосия. Той ще заколи върху теб свещениците на високите места, които кадят върху теб, и човешки кости ще се изгорят върху теб!

And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.

И в същия ден даде знамение, като каза: Това е знамението, за което говори ГОСПОД: Ето, олтарът ще се разцепи и пепелта, която е върху него, ще се разпилее.

And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Beth–el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

А когато царят чу словото на Божия човек, което той извика срещу олтара във Ветил, Еровоам простря ръката си от олтара и каза: Хванете го! Но ръката му, която той простря против него, изсъхна, и той не можа да я върне обратно към себе си.

The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.

И олтарът се разцепи и пепелта се разпиля от олтара според знамението, което Божият човек беше дал чрез ГОСПОДНОТО слово.

And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

Тогава царят отговори и каза на Божия човек: Моля те, смекчи лицето на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, и се помоли за мен, за да ми се върне ръката. И Божият човек се помоли на ГОСПОДА и ръката на царя му се върна и стана както преди.

And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.

Тогава царят каза на Божия човек: Ела с мен у дома и се подкрепи, и ще ти дам подарък.

And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:

Но Божият човек каза на царя: И половината от къщата си да ми дадеш, няма да вляза с теб; и няма да ям хляб и няма да пия вода на това място,

For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.

защото така ми беше заповядано чрез ГОСПОДНОТО слово: Да не ядеш хляб и да не пиеш вода, и да не се върнеш по пътя, по който си дошъл.

So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Beth–el.

И той си тръгна по друг път и не се върна по пътя, по който беше дошъл във Ветил.

Now there dwelt an old prophet in Beth–el; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Beth–el: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.

А във Ветил живееше един стар пророк; и синовете му дойдоха и му разказаха всичките дела, които Божият човек беше извършил онзи ден във Ветил, и думите, които беше говорил на царя, и тях разказаха на баща си.

And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.

И баща им им каза: По кой път отиде? А синовете му бяха видели по кой път отиде Божият човек, който дойде от Юда.

And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,

Тогава той каза на синовете си: Оседлайте ми магарето. И те му оседлаха магарето и той се качи на него.

And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.

И отиде след Божия човек и го намери седнал под един дъб, и му каза: Ти ли си Божият човек, който е дошъл от Юда? И той каза: Аз съм.

Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.

Тогава той му каза: Ела с мен у дома и яж хляб.

And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:

А той каза: Не мога да се върна с теб и да вляза с теб и няма да ям хляб и няма да пия вода с теб на това място,

For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.

защото ми се каза чрез ГОСПОДНОТО слово: Да не ядеш хляб и да не пиеш вода там, и да не се върнеш по пътя, по който си дошъл.

He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.

А той му каза: И аз съм пророк като теб; и ангел ми говори чрез ГОСПОДНОТО слово и каза: Върни го със себе си у дома си, за да яде хляб и да пие вода. Но той го лъжеше.

So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.

И той се върна с него и яде хляб в къщата му, и пи вода.

And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:

А когато седяха на трапезата, ГОСПОДНОТО слово беше към пророка, който го беше върнал,

And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,

и той извика към Божия човек, който беше дошъл от Юда, и каза: Така казва ГОСПОД: Понеже не послуша ГОСПОДНОТО слово и не спази заповедта, която ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, ти заповяда,

But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.

а се върна и яде хляб и пи вода на мястото, за което Той ти каза: Не яж хляб и не пий вода! — затова трупът ти няма да дойде в гроба на бащите ти.

And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.

И след като яде хляб и пи, му оседлаха магарето на пророка, който го беше върнал обратно.

And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.

И той си отиде. И един лъв го намери на пътя и го уби. И трупът му беше проснат на пътя и магарето стоеше до него, и лъвът стоеше до трупа.

And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.

И ето, минаха хора и видяха трупа, проснат на пътя, и лъва да стои до трупа. И те дойдоха и казаха това в града, където живееше старият пророк.

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.

А когато пророкът, който го беше върнал от пътя, чу това, каза: Това е Божият човек, който не послуша ГОСПОДНОТО слово; затова ГОСПОД го предаде на лъва и той го разкъса и го уби според ГОСПОДНОТО слово, което Той му говори.

And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him.

Тогава той говори на синовете си и каза: Оседлайте ми магарето. И те го оседлаха.

And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass.

И той отиде и намери трупа му, проснат на пътя, и магарето и лъва да стоят до трупа; лъвът нито беше изял трупа, нито беше разкъсал магарето.

And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him.

И пророкът вдигна трупа на Божия човек и го сложи на магарето, и го донесе обратно. И дойде в града на стария пророк, за да го оплаче и да го погребе.

And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother!

И положи трупа в собствения си гроб. И го оплакаха: Горко, брате мой!

And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:

И след като го погреба, говори на синовете си и каза: Когато умра, погребете ме в гроба, където е погребан Божият човек; сложете костите ми при неговите кости!

For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Beth–el, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.

Защото непременно ще стане това, което той извика чрез ГОСПОДНОТО слово срещу олтара във Ветил и срещу всичките капища по високите места, които са в самарийските градове.

After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.

След това събитие Еровоам не се върна от злия си път, а пак правеше свещеници за високите места от всякакви хора; посвещаваше всеки, който пожелаеше да бъде свещеник на високите места.

And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.

И това нещо стана грях за Еровоамовия дом и причина да бъде изтребен и погубен от лицето на земята.
