I Kings 12

And Rehoboam went to Shechem: for all Israel were come to Shechem to make him king.

И Ровоам отиде в Сихем, защото целият Израил беше дошъл в Сихем, за да го направи цар.

And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was yet in Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt;)

И когато Еровоам, синът на Нават, чу това — а той беше още в Египет, където беше избягал от цар Соломон, и Еровоам остана в Египет,

That they sent and called him. And Jeroboam and all the congregation of Israel came, and spake unto Rehoboam, saying,

но изпратиха и го повикаха — тогава Еровоам и цялото израилево събрание дойдоха и говориха на Ровоам и казаха:

Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.

Баща ти направи жесток ярема ни, но ти облекчи сега жестоката служба на баща си и тежкия му ярем, който той наложи върху нас, и ще ти служим.

And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.

А той им каза: Идете си за още три дни и после се върнете при мен. И народът си отиде.

And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people?

Тогава цар Ровоам се посъветва със старейшините, които бяха стояли пред баща му Соломон, докато беше жив, и каза: Как ме съветвате да отговоря на този народ?

And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.

И те му говориха и казаха: Ако днес станеш слуга на този народ и им служиш, и ги послушаш, и им говориш добри думи, тогава те ще ти бъдат слуги завинаги.

But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:

Но той отхвърли съвета на старейшините, който му дадоха, и се посъветва с младежите, които бяха израснали заедно с него и стояха пред него.

And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?

И той им каза: Как ме съветвате да отговорим на този народ, който ми говори и каза: Облекчи ярема, който баща ти наложи върху нас?

And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.

Тогава младежите, които бяха израснали заедно с него, му говориха и казаха: Така да кажеш на този народ, който ти говори и каза: Баща ти направи тежък ярема ни, но ти ни го облекчи! — така да им кажеш: Малкият ми пръст е по-дебел от слабините на баща ми!

And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

И сега, баща ми ви е натоварил с тежък ярем, а аз ще прибавя към ярема ви. Баща ми ви е наказвал с камшици, а аз ще ви наказвам със скорпиони.

So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king had appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day.

И Еровоам и целият народ дойдоха при Ровоам на третия ден, както царят беше говорил и казал: Върнете се при мен на третия ден.

And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men's counsel that they gave him;

И царят отговори на народа остро и отхвърли съвета, който му дадоха старейшините,

And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

а им говори според съвета на младежите и каза: Баща ми направи тежък вашия ярем, но аз ще прибавя към ярема ви; баща ми ви е наказвал с камшици, а аз ще ви наказвам със скорпиони.

Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

Така царят не послуша народа, защото това беше обрат от ГОСПОДА, за да изпълни словото Си, което ГОСПОД беше говорил чрез силонеца Ахия на Еровоам, сина на Нават.

So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.

И когато целият Израил видя, че царят не ги послуша, народът отговори на царя и каза: Какъв дял имаме ние в Давид? Нямаме наследство в Есеевия син! По шатрите си, Израилю! Погрижи се сега за дома си, Давиде! И Израил отиде по шатрите си.

But as for the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

А колкото до израилевите синове, които живееха в градовете на Юда, над тях царуваше Ровоам.

Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

Тогава цар Ровоам изпрати Адорам, който беше над задължителния труд, но целият Израил го уби с камъни и той умря. И цар Ровоам побърза да се качи на колесницата си, за да избяга в Ерусалим.

So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.

Така Израил отстъпи от Давидовия дом, както е и до днес.

And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only.

А когато целият Израил чу, че Еровоам се е върнал, изпратиха и го повикаха пред обществото, и го направиха цар над целия Израил. Никой не последва Давидовия дом, освен само юдовото племе.

And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.

А Ровоам дойде в Ерусалим и събра целия юдов дом и вениаминовото племе, сто и осемдесет хиляди избрани воини, за да се бият срещу израилевия дом, за да възвърне царството на Ровоам, сина на Соломон.

But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

Тогава Божието слово беше към Божия човек Семая и каза:

Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

Говори на юдовия цар Ровоам, сина на Соломон, и на целия юдов и вениаминов дом, и на останалия народ и кажи:

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Да не излизате и да не се биете срещу братята си, израилевите синове! Върнете се всеки у дома си, защото от Мен стана това нещо. И те послушаха ГОСПОДНОТО слово и се върнаха, и си отидоха според ГОСПОДНОТО слово.

Then Jeroboam built Shechem in mount Ephraim, and dwelt therein; and went out from thence, and built Penuel.

Тогава Еровоам построи Сихем в хълмистата земя на Ефрем и живееше в него. После излезе оттам и построи Фануил.

And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David:

И Еровоам каза в сърцето си: Сега царството ще се върне на Давидовия дом.

If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah.

Ако този народ се изкачва да принася жертви в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом в Ерусалим, тогава сърцето на този народ ще се обърне пак към господаря им, към юдовия цар Ровоам; и те ще ме убият и ще се върнат при юдовия цар Ровоам.

Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Затова царят реши и направи две златни телета, и им каза: Много ви е да се изкачвате до Ерусалим; ето боговете ти, Израилю, които те изведоха от египетската земя!

And he set the one in Beth–el, and the other put he in Dan.

И той постави едното във Ветил, а другото сложи в Дан.

And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.

А това нещо стана грях, защото народът отиваше да се кланя пред едното чак до Дан.

And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.

И той направи домове по високите места и направи свещеници от всякакви хора, които не бяха от синовете на Леви.

And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Beth–el, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Beth–el the priests of the high places which he had made.

И Еровоам направи празник в осмия месец, на петнадесетия ден от месеца, като празника, който се правеше в Юда, и принесе жертви на олтара. Така направи във Ветил и жертваше на телетата, които беше направил. И настани във Ветил свещениците на високите места, които беше направил.

So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Beth–el the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

Така той принесе жертви на олтара, който беше направил във Ветил, на петнадесетия ден от осмия месец — месеца, който беше измислил от сърцето си, и направи празник за израилевите синове, и принесе жертви на олтара, и покади.
