Psalms 116

J'aime l'Eternel, car il entend Ma voix, mes supplications;

I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

Car il a penché son oreille vers moi; Et je l'invoquerai toute ma vie.

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

Les liens de la mort m'avaient environné, Et les angoisses du sépulcre m'avaient saisi; J'étais en proie à la détresse et à la douleur.

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Mais j'invoquai le nom de l'Eternel: O Eternel, sauve mon âme!

Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

L'Eternel est miséricordieux et juste, Notre Dieu est plein de compassion;

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

L'Eternel garde les simples; J'étais malheureux, et il m'a sauvé.

The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

Mon âme, retourne à ton repos, Car l'Eternel t'a fait du bien.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Oui, tu as délivré mon âme de la mort, Mes yeux des larmes, Mes pieds de la chute.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

Je marcherai devant l'Eternel, Sur la terre des vivants.

I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

J'avais confiance, lorsque je disais: Je suis bien malheureux!

I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

Je disais dans mon angoisse: Tout homme est trompeur.

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

Comment rendrai-je à l'Eternel Tous ses bienfaits envers moi?

What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

J'élèverai la coupe des délivrances, Et j'invoquerai le nom de l'Eternel;

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

J'accomplirai mes voeux envers l'Eternel, En présence de tout son peuple.

I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

Elle a du prix aux yeux de l'Eternel, La mort de ceux qui l'aiment.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Ecoute-moi, ô Eternel! car je suis ton serviteur, Ton serviteur, fils de ta servante. Tu as détaché mes liens.

O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

Je t'offrirai un sacrifice d'actions de grâces, Et j'invoquerai le nom de l'Eternel;

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

J'accomplirai mes voeux envers l'Eternel, En présence de tout son peuple,

I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,

Dans les parvis de la maison de l'Eternel, Au milieu de toi, Jérusalem! Louez l'Eternel!

In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
