А Корей, синът на Исаар, син на Каат, син на Леви, предприе, и с него Датан и Авирон, синовете на Елиав, и Он, синът на Фалет, Рувимови потомци,

Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:

и се вдигнаха против Мойсей с двеста и петдесет мъже от израилевите синове, първенци на обществото, призованите на събранието, именити мъже.

And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

Те се събраха против Мойсей и против Аарон и им казаха: Стига ви толкова! Цялото общество е свято, всеки един от тях и ГОСПОД е сред тях. Защо вие се възвишавате над събранието на ГОСПОДА?

And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

А Мойсей, като чу това, падна на лицето си;

And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:

и говори на Корей и на цялото му общество и каза: Утре ГОСПОД ще покаже кои са Негови и кой е свят, за да го остави да се приближи до Него. И когото Той избере, него ще остави да се приближи до Него.

And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

Направете така: вземете си кадилници, Корей и цялото ти общество,

This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;

и утре сложете в тях огън и сложете отгоре тамян пред ГОСПОДА; и когото ГОСПОД избере, той ще бъде свят. Стига ви толкова, левийци!

And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.

И Мойсей каза на Корей: Чуйте сега, вие, синове на Леви:

And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:

Малко ли ви е това, че Израилевият Бог ви отдели от израилевото общество и ви направи да се приближавате при Него, за да вършите службата на ГОСПОДНАТА скиния и да стоите пред обществото, за да му служите;

Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

че направи теб и всичките ти братя, синовете на Леви, заедно с теб, да се приближавате при Него? И свещенството ли искате?

And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?

Така че ти и цялото ти общество сте се събрали против ГОСПОДА — защото кой е Аарон, че да роптаете против него?

For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?

И Мойсей изпрати да повикат Датан и Авирон, синовете на Елиав. А те отговориха: Няма да дойдем.

And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:

Малко ли е това, че си ни извел от земя, в която текат мляко и мед, за да ни измориш в пустинята, а и на владетел ли искаш да се направиш над нас?

Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?

При това ти не си ни довел в земя, където текат мляко и мед, нито пък си ни дал да наследим ниви и лозя. Ще извадиш ли очите на тези хора? Няма да дойдем!

Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.

Тогава Мойсей се разгневи много и каза на ГОСПОДА: Не поглеждай благосклонно на приноса им! Аз не съм взел нито едно магаре от тях и на никого от тях не съм сторил зло!

And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

И Мойсей каза на Корей: Утре ти и цялото ти общество да се намерите пред ГОСПОДА — ти и те, и Аарон.

And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:

И вземете всеки кадилницата си, сложете в тях тамян и занесете пред ГОСПОДА всеки кадилницата си, двеста и петдесет кадилници; също и ти и Аарон — всеки своята кадилница.

And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.

И те взеха всеки кадилницата си, сложиха огън в тях, сложиха отгоре и тамян и застанаха пред входа на шатъра за срещане заедно с Мойсей и Аарон.

And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

Корей събра против тях и цялото общество пред входа на шатъра за срещане. И ГОСПОДНАТА слава се яви на цялото общество.

And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.

И ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и Аарон и каза:

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

Отделете се отсред това общество, за да ги изтребя в един миг!

Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

А те паднаха на лицата си и казаха: О, Боже, Боже на духовете на всяка плът! Ако един човек е съгрешил, ще се разгневиш ли на цялото общество?

And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

А ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и каза:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Говори на обществото и им кажи: Отдръпнете се настрани от жилищата на Корей, Датан и Авирон!

Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

Тогава Мойсей стана и отиде при Датан и Авирон, а израилевите старейшини отидоха след него.

And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

И той говори на обществото и каза: Моля ви се, отстъпете от шатрите на тези безбожни мъже и не се допирайте до нищо тяхно, за да не погинете сред всичките им грехове!

And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

И те се отдръпнаха настрани от жилищата на Корей, Датан и Авирон. А Датан и Авирон излязоха и застанаха при входовете на шатрите си с жените си и синовете си, и челядите си.

So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

И Мойсей каза: По това ще познаете, че ГОСПОД ме е изпратил да върша всички тези дела, и че не ги върша от себе си:

And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

ако тези умрат, както умират всички хора, или ако им се въздаде, както се въздава на всички хора, то ГОСПОД не ме е изпратил.

If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.

Но ако ГОСПОД направи нещо ново — ако земята отвори устата си и ги погълне с всичко, което е тяхно, и те слязат живи в Шеол — тогава ще познаете, че тези хора презряха ГОСПОДА.

But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

И когато той изговори всички тези думи, земята под тях се разпука;

And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:

земята отвори устата си и погълна тях и домочадията им, всичките хора на Корей и целия им имот.

And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

Те и всичко тяхно слязоха живи в Шеол, земята ги покри и те погинаха отсред събранието.

They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

А целият Израил, който беше около тях, се разбяга при техния вик, като казваха: Да не погълне земята и нас!

And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.

И огън излезе от ГОСПОДА и пояде онези двеста и петдесет мъже, които принесоха тамяна.

And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

И ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и каза:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Кажи на Елеазар, сина на Аарон, свещеника, да прибере кадилниците отсред изгореното; а ти разпръсни огъня надалеч, защото са свети.

Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.

Кадилниците на тези мъже, които съгрешиха против живота си — нека ги направят на плочи за обковаване на олтара, защото те ги принесоха пред ГОСПОДА и затова са свети; и те ще бъдат за знамение на израилевите синове.

The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

И свещеникът Елеазар прибра бронзовите кадилници, които изгорелите бяха принесли, и ги направиха на плочи за обковаване на олтара,

And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:

като спомен за израилевите синове, че никой чужд човек, който не е от потомството на Аарон, не бива да пристъпва да кади тамян пред ГОСПОДА, за да не стане като Корей и обществото му — както ГОСПОД му говори чрез Мойсей.

To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.

А на следващата сутрин цялото общество израилеви синове зароптаха против Мойсей и Аарон, като казваха: Вие избихте ГОСПОДНИЯ народ!

But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

Но когато обществото се беше събрало против Мойсей и Аарон, се обърнаха към шатъра за срещане, и ето, облакът го покри и ГОСПОДНАТА слава се яви.

And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

И Мойсей и Аарон дойдоха пред шатъра за срещане.

And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.

И ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и каза:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Отдръпнете се отсред това общество и ще ги погубя в един миг! А те паднаха на лицата си.

Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

И Мойсей каза на Аарон: Вземи кадилницата си, сложи в нея огън от олтара и сложи на него тамян, и иди бързо при обществото, и направи умилостивение за тях; защото гняв излезе от ГОСПОДА, язвата започна!

And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

И Аарон взе кадилницата, както беше казал Мойсей, и изтича сред събранието. И ето, язвата беше започнала между народа; и той сложи тамяна и направи умилостивение за народа.

And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

И застана между мъртвите и живите и язвата престана.

And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

Умрелите от язвата бяха четиринадесет хиляди и седемстотин, освен онези, които умряха заради Корей.

Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

И Аарон се върна при Мойсей при входа на шатъра за срещане, защото язвата престана.

And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.
