Ezra 10

А докато Ездра се молеше и се изповядваше с плач, паднал пред Божия дом, около него се събра едно много голямо събрание от Израил, мъже, жени и деца, защото народът плачеше с голям плач.

Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.

Тогава Сехания, синът на Ехиил, от синовете на Елам, заговори и каза на Ездра: Ние извършихме престъпление против своя Бог и взехме за жени чужденки от народите на земята. Но сега все пак има надежда за Израил относно това.

And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.

И така, нека сега направим завет с нашия Бог да отпратим всички тези жени и родените от тях съгласно съвета на господаря ми и на онези, които треперят пред заповедта на нашия Бог. Нека се постъпи според закона.

Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.

Стани, защото това е твоя длъжност, и ние сме с теб. Бъди силен и действай!

Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.

Тогава Ездра стана и закле началниците на свещениците, на левитите и на целия Израил, че ще постъпят според това слово. И те се заклеха.

Then arose Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they sware.

Тогава Ездра стана отпред Божия дом и отиде в стаята на Йоанан, сина на Елиасив; отиде там и не яде хляб, и не пи вода, защото тъжеше за престъплението на отведените в плен.

Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.

После прогласиха по Юда и Ерусалим между всичките върнали се от плена да се съберат в Ерусалим.

And they made proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem unto all the children of the captivity, that they should gather themselves together unto Jerusalem;

А на всекиго, който не би дошъл до три дни според решението на началниците и старейшините, целият имот да бъде обречен на проклятие и самият той да бъде отлъчен от събранието на отведените в плен.

And that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.

Тогава всички мъже от Юда и Вениамин се събраха до три дни в Ерусалим. Беше деветият месец, на двадесетия ден от месеца. И целият народ седеше на площада на Божия дом и трепереше заради това нещо и от поройния дъжд.

Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.

Тогава свещеник Ездра стана и им каза: Вие сте извършили престъпление и сте довели у дома си жени чужденки, за да умножите вината на Израил.

And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.

И така, изповядайте се сега пред ГОСПОДА, Бога на бащите си, и изпълнете волята Му, и се отделете от народите на земята и от жените чужденки!

Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.

И цялото събрание отговори и каза със силен глас: Според думите ти, така сме длъжни да направим!

Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.

Но народът е многоброен и е времето на дъждовете, така че не може да се стои вън. При това работата не е за един ден, нито за два, защото мнозина сме съгрешили в това нещо.

But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.

Затова нека пристъпят нашите началници за цялото събрание и нека всички по нашите градове, които са довели у дома си жени чужденки, да идват в определени времена, и заедно с тях старейшините на всеки град и съдиите му, докато се отвърне от нас пламенният гняв на нашия Бог заради това нещо.

Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.

И само Йонатан, синът на Асаил, и Яазия, синът на Текуй, се възпротивиха и Месулам и левитът Саватай ги подкрепиха.

Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahaziah the son of Tikvah were employed about this matter: and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite helped them.

И завърналите се от плена постъпиха така. И свещеник Ездра и някои глави на бащини домове, според бащините им домове, всички по име, се отделиха и седнаха на първия ден от десетия месец да изследват работата.

And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.

И до първия ден от първия месец свършиха с всички мъже, които бяха довели у дома си жени чужденки.

And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first month.

И между синовете на свещениците също се намериха такива, които бяха довели у дома си жени чужденки: от синовете на Иисус, сина на Йоседек, и братята му: Маасия и Елиезер, и Ярив, и Годолия.

And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken strange wives: namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.

И те дадоха ръцете си в обещание, че ще изгонят жените си, и като престъпници принесоха за престъплението си овен от стадото.

And they gave their hands that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass.

И от синовете на Емир: Ананий и Зевадия;

And of the sons of Immer; Hanani, and Zebadiah.

и от синовете на Харим: Маасия и Илия, и Семая, и Ехиил, и Озия;

And of the sons of Harim; Maaseiah, and Elijah, and Shemaiah, and Jehiel, and Uzziah.

и от синовете на Пасхор: Елиоинай, Маасия, Исмаил, Натанаил, Йозавад и Еласа;

And of the sons of Pashur; Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Jozabad, and Elasah.

и от левитите: Йозавад и Семей, и Келая, който е Келита, Петая, Юда и Елиезер;

Also of the Levites; Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah, (the same is Kelita,) Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.

и от певците: Елиасив; и от вратарите: Селум и Телем, и Урий;

Of the singers also; Eliashib: and of the porters; Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.

и от Израил: от синовете на Фарос: Рамия и Езия, и Мелхия, и Миамин, и Елеазар, и Мелхия, и Ваная;

Moreover of Israel: of the sons of Parosh; Ramiah, and Jeziah, and Malchiah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah.

и от синовете на Елам: Матания, Захария и Ехиил, и Авдий, и Еримот, и Илия;

And of the sons of Elam; Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Eliah.

и от синовете на Затуй: Елиоинай, Елиасив, Матания и Еримот, и Завад, и Азиза;

And of the sons of Zattu; Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Jeremoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.

от синовете на Вивай: Йоанан, Анания, Завай и Атлай;

Of the sons also of Bebai; Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, and Athlai.

и от синовете на Ваний: Месулам, Малух и Адая, Ясув и Сеал, и Рамот;

And of the sons of Bani; Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Jashub, and Sheal, and Ramoth.

и от синовете на Фаат-Моав: Адна и Хелал, Ваная, Маасия, Матания, Веселеил и Вануй, и Манасия;

And of the sons of Pahath–moab; Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.

и от синовете на Харим: Елиезер, Есия, Мелхия, Семая, Симеон,

And of the sons of Harim; Eliezer, Ishijah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,

Вениамин, Малух и Самария;

Benjamin, Malluch, and Shemariah.

от синовете на Асум: Матенай, Матата, Завад, Елифалет, Еремай, Манасия и Семай;

Of the sons of Hashum; Mattenai, Mattathah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasseh, and Shimei.

от синовете на Ваний: Маадай, Амрам и Уил,

Of the sons of Bani; Maadai, Amram, and Uel,

Ваная, Ведея, Хелуй,

Benaiah, Bedeiah, Chelluh,

Вания, Меримот, Елиасив,

Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,

Матания, Матенай, Яасо,

Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau,

и Ваний, и Вануй, Семей

And Bani, and Binnui, Shimei,

и Селемия, и Натан, и Адая,

And Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,

Махнадевай, Сасай, Сарай,

Machnadebai, Shashai, Sharai,

Азареил и Селемия, Самария,

Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,

Селум, Амария и Йосиф;

Shallum, Amariah, and Joseph.

от синовете на Нево: Еиил, Мататия, Завад, Зевина, Ядав и Йоил, и Ваная.

Of the sons of Nebo; Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jadau, and Joel, Benaiah.

Всички тези бяха взели жени чужденки; и между тях имаше жени, които бяха родили деца.

All these had taken strange wives: and some of them had wives by whom they had children.
