Psalms 46

قورح کی اولاد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ گیت کا طرز: کنواریاں۔ اللہ ہماری پناہ گاہ اور قوت ہے۔ مصیبت کے وقت وہ ہمارا مضبوط سہارا ثابت ہوا ہے۔

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

اِس لئے ہم خوف نہیں کھائیں گے، گو زمین لرز اُٹھے اور پہاڑ جھوم کر سمندر کی گہرائیوں میں گر جائیں،

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

گو سمندر شور مچا کر ٹھاٹھیں مارے اور پہاڑ اُس کی دہاڑوں سے کانپ اُٹھیں۔ (سِلاہ)

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

دریا کی شاخیں اللہ کے شہر کو خوش کرتی ہیں، اُس شہر کو جو اللہ تعالیٰ کی مُقدّس سکونت گاہ ہے۔

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

اللہ اُس کے بیچ میں ہے، اِس لئے شہر نہیں ڈگمگائے گا۔ صبح سویرے ہی اللہ اُس کی مدد کرے گا۔

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

قومیں شور مچانے، سلطنتیں لڑکھڑانے لگیں۔ اللہ نے آواز دی تو زمین لرز اُٹھی۔

The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

رب الافواج ہمارے ساتھ ہے، یعقوب کا خدا ہمارا قلعہ ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

آؤ، رب کے عظیم کاموں پر نظر ڈالو! اُسی نے زمین پر ہول ناک تباہی نازل کی ہے۔

Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

وہی دنیا کی انتہا تک جنگیں روک دیتا، وہی کمان کو توڑ دیتا، نیزے کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کرتا اور ڈھال کو جلا دیتا ہے۔

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

وہ فرماتا ہے، ”اپنی حرکتوں سے باز آؤ! جان لو کہ مَیں خدا ہوں۔ مَیں اقوام میں سربلند اور دنیا میں سرفراز ہوں گا۔“

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

رب الافواج ہمارے ساتھ ہے۔ یعقوب کا خدا ہمارا قلعہ ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
