Psalms 21

داؤد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ اے رب، بادشاہ تیری قوت دیکھ کر شادمان ہے، وہ تیری نجات کی کتنی بڑی خوشی مناتا ہے۔

The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

تُو نے اُس کی دلی خواہش پوری کی اور انکار نہ کیا جب اُس کی آرزو نے ہونٹوں پر الفاظ کا روپ دھارا۔ (سِلاہ)

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

کیونکہ تُو اچھی اچھی برکتیں اپنے ساتھ لے کر اُس سے ملنے آیا، تُو نے اُسے خالص سونے کا تاج پہنایا۔

For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

اُس نے تجھ سے زندگی پانے کی آرزو کی تو تُو نے اُسے عمر کی درازی بخشی، مزید اِتنے دن کہ اُن کی انتہا نہیں۔

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

تیری نجات سے اُسے بڑی عزت حاصل ہوئی، تُو نے اُسے شان و شوکت سے آراستہ کیا۔

His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

کیونکہ تُو اُسے ابد تک برکت دیتا، اُسے اپنے چہرے کے حضور لا کر نہایت خوش کر دیتا ہے۔

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

کیونکہ بادشاہ رب پر اعتماد کرتا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ کی شفقت اُسے ڈگمگانے سے بچائے گی۔

For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

تیرے دشمن تیرے قبضے میں آ جائیں گے، جو تجھ سے نفرت کرتے ہیں اُنہیں تیرا دہنا ہاتھ پکڑ لے گا۔

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

جب تُو اُن پر ظاہر ہو گا تو وہ بھڑکتی بھٹی کی سی مصیبت میں پھنس جائیں گے۔ رب اپنے غضب میں اُنہیں ہڑپ کر لے گا، اور آگ اُنہیں کھا جائے گی۔

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

تُو اُن کی اولاد کو رُوئے زمین پر سے مٹا ڈالے گا، انسانوں میں اُن کا نام و نشان تک نہیں رہے گا۔

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

گو وہ تیرے خلاف سازشیں کرتے ہیں توبھی اُن کے بُرے منصوبے ناکام رہیں گے۔

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

کیونکہ تُو اُنہیں بھگا کر اُن کے چہروں کو اپنے تیروں کا نشانہ بنا دے گا۔

Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

اے رب، اُٹھ اور اپنی قدرت کا اظہار کر تاکہ ہم تیری قدرت کی تمجید میں ساز بجا کر گیت گائیں۔

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
