Psalms 7

O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

داؤد کا وہ ماتمی گیت جو اُس نے کوش بن یمینی کی باتوں پر رب کی تمجید میں گایا۔ اے رب میرے خدا، مَیں تجھ میں پناہ لیتا ہوں۔ مجھے اُن سب سے بچا کر چھٹکارا دے جو میرا تعاقب کر رہے ہیں،

Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

ورنہ وہ شیرببر کی طرح مجھے پھاڑ کر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دیں گے، اور بچانے والا کوئی نہیں ہو گا۔

O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

اے رب میرے خدا، اگر مجھ سے یہ کچھ سرزد ہوا اور میرے ہاتھ قصوروار ہوں،

If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)

اگر مَیں نے اُس سے بُرا سلوک کیا جس کا میرے ساتھ جھگڑا نہیں تھا یا اپنے دشمن کو خواہ مخواہ لُوٹ لیا ہو

Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

تو پھر میرا دشمن میرے پیچھے پڑ کر مجھے پکڑ لے۔ وہ میری جان کو مٹی میں کچل دے، میری عزت کو خاک میں ملائے۔ (سِلاہ)

Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.

اے رب، اُٹھ اور اپنا غضب دکھا! میرے دشمنوں کے طیش کے خلاف کھڑا ہو جا۔ میری مدد کرنے کے لئے جاگ اُٹھ! تُو نے خود عدالت کا حکم دیا ہے۔

So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

اقوام تیرے ارد گرد جمع ہو جائیں جب تُو اُن کے اوپر بلندیوں پر تخت نشین ہو جائے۔

The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

رب اقوام کی عدالت کرتا ہے۔ اے رب، میری راست بازی اور بےگناہی کا لحاظ کر کے میرا انصاف کر۔

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

اے راست خدا، جو دل کی گہرائیوں کو تہہ تک جانچ لیتا ہے، بےدینوں کی شرارتیں ختم کر اور راست باز کو قائم رکھ۔

My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

اللہ میری ڈھال ہے۔ جو دل سے سیدھی راہ پر چلتے ہیں اُنہیں وہ رِہائی دیتا ہے۔

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

اللہ عادل منصف ہے، ایسا خدا جو روزانہ لوگوں کی سرزنش کرتا ہے۔

If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

یقیناً اِس وقت بھی دشمن اپنی تلوار کو تیز کر رہا، اپنی کمان کو تان کر نشانہ باندھ رہا ہے۔

He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

لیکن جو مہلک ہتھیار اور جلتے ہوئے تیر اُس نے تیار کر رکھے ہیں اُن کی زد میں وہ خود ہی آ جائے گا۔

Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

دیکھ، بُرائی کا بیج اُس میں اُگ آیا ہے۔ اب وہ شرارت سے حاملہ ہو کر پھرتا اور جھوٹ کے بچے جنم دیتا ہے۔

He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

لیکن جو گڑھا اُس نے دوسروں کو پھنسانے کے لئے کھود کھود کر تیار کیا اُس میں خود گر پڑا ہے۔

His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

وہ خود اپنی شرارت کی زد میں آئے گا، اُس کا ظلم اُس کے اپنے سر پر نازل ہو گا۔

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

مَیں رب کی ستائش کروں گا، کیونکہ وہ راست ہے۔ مَیں رب تعالیٰ کے نام کی تعریف میں گیت گاؤں گا۔
