Isaiah 2

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

یسعیاہ بن آموص نے یہوداہ اور یروشلم کے بارے میں ذیل کی رویا دیکھی،

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

آخری ایام میں رب کے گھر کا پہاڑ مضبوطی سے قائم ہو گا۔ سب سے بڑا یہ پہاڑ دیگر تمام بلندیوں سے کہیں زیادہ سرفراز ہو گا۔ تب تمام قومیں جوق در جوق اُس کے پاس پہنچیں گی،

2:3

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

اور بےشمار اُمّتیں آ کر کہیں گی، ”آؤ، ہم رب کے پہاڑ پر چڑھ کر یعقوب کے خدا کے گھر کے پاس جائیں تاکہ وہ ہمیں اپنی مرضی کی تعلیم دے اور ہم اُس کی راہوں پر چلیں۔“ کیونکہ صیون پہاڑ سے رب کی ہدایت نکلے گی، اور یروشلم سے اُس کا کلام صادر ہو گا۔

2:4

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

رب بین الاقوامی جھگڑوں کو نپٹائے گا اور بےشمار قوموں کا انصاف کرے گا۔ تب وہ اپنی تلواروں کو کوٹ کر پھالے بنائیں گی اور اپنے نیزوں کو کانٹ چھانٹ کے اوزار میں تبدیل کریں گی۔ اب سے نہ ایک قوم دوسری پر حملہ کرے گی، نہ لوگ جنگ کرنے کی تربیت حاصل کریں گے۔

2:5

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

اے یعقوب کے گھرانے، آؤ ہم رب کے نور میں چلیں!

2:6

Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

اے اللہ، تُو نے اپنی قوم، یعقوب کے گھرانے کو ترک کر دیا ہے۔ اور کیا عجب! کیونکہ وہ مشرقی جادوگری سے بھر گئے ہیں۔ فلستیوں کی طرح ہمارے لوگ بھی قسمت کا حال پوچھتے ہیں، وہ پردیسیوں کے ساتھ بغل گیر رہتے ہیں۔

2:7

Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

اسرائیل سونے چاندی سے بھر گیا ہے، اُس کے خزانوں کی حد ہی نہیں رہی۔ ہر طرف گھوڑے ہی گھوڑے نظر آتے ہیں، اور اُن کے رتھ گنے نہیں جا سکتے۔

2:8

Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

لیکن ساتھ ساتھ اُن کا ملک بُتوں سے بھی بھر گیا ہے۔ جو چیزیں اُن کے ہاتھوں نے بنائیں اُن کے سامنے وہ جھک جاتے ہیں، جو کچھ اُن کی اُنگلیوں نے تشکیل دیا اُسے وہ سجدہ کرتے ہیں۔

2:9

And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

چنانچہ اب اُنہیں خود جھکایا جائے گا، اُنہیں پست کیا جائے گا۔ اے رب، اُنہیں معاف نہ کر!
