Psalms 132

LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

Пісня прочан. Згадай, Господи, про Давида, про всі його муки,

How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

що клявсь Господеві, присягався був Сильному Якова:

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

Не ввійду я в намет свого дому, не зійду я на ложе постелі своєї,

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

не дам сну своїм очам, дрімання повікам своїм,

Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

аж поки не знайду я для Господа місця, місця перебування для Сильного Якова!

Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

Ось ми чули про Нього в Ефрафі, на Яарських полях ми знайшли Його.

We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

Увійдім же в мешкання Його, поклонімось підніжкові ніг Його!

Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

Встань же Господи, йди до Свого відпочинку, Ти й ковчег сили Твоєї!

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

Священики Твої хай зодягнуться в правду, і будуть співати Твої богобійні!

For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

Ради Давида, Свого раба, не відвертай лиця від Свого помазанця.

The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

Господь присягнув був Давидові правду, і не відступить від неї: Від плоду утроби твоєї Я посаджу на престолі твоїм!

If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

Якщо будуть синове твої пильнувати Мого заповіта й свідоцтва Мого, що його Я навчатиму їх, то й сини їхні на вічні віки будуть сидіти на троні твоїм!

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

Бо вибрав Сіона Господь, уподобав його на оселю Собі:

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

То місце Мого відпочинку на вічні віки, пробуватиму тут, бо його уподобав,

I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

поживу його щедро благословлю, і хлібом убогих його нагодую!

I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Священиків його зодягну у спасіння, а його богобійні співатимуть радісно.

There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

Я там вирощу рога Давидового, для Свого помазанця вготую світильника,

His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

ворогів його соромом позодягаю, а на ньому корона його буде сяяти!
