Matthew 7

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Não julgueis, para que não sejais julgados.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Porque com o juízo com que julgais, sereis julgados; e com a medida com que medis, vos medirão também.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

E por que vês tu o cisco no olho de teu irmão, e não reparas na trave que está no teu próprio olho?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Ou como dirás a teu irmão: Deixa-me tirar o cisco do teu olho; e eis que tens uma trave no teu próprio olho?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Hipócrita! Tira primeiro a trave do teu olho; e então verás claramente para tirar o cisco do olho de teu irmão.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Não deis aos cães o que é santo, nem lanceis aos porcos as vossas pérolas, para não acontecer que as pisem com os pés e, voltando-se, vos despedacem.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Pedi, e dar-se-vos-á; buscai, e achareis; batei e abrir-se-vos-á.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Pois todo o que pede, recebe; e quem busca, acha; e ao que bate, abrir-se-lhe-á.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Ou qual dentre vós é o homem que, se seu filho lhe pedir pão, lhe dará uma pedra?

Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Ou, se lhe pedir peixe, lhe dará uma cobra?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Se vós, pois, sendo maus, sabeis dar boas dádivas a vossos filhos, quanto mais vosso Pai, que está nos céus, dará boas coisas aos que lhe pedirem?

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Portanto, tudo o que quereis que os homens vos façam, assim fazei-o vós também a eles; porque esta é a lei e os profetas.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Entrai pela porta estreita; porque larga é a porta, e espaçoso o caminho que conduz para a perdição, e muitos são os que entram por ela;

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

e porque estreita é a porta, e apertado o caminho que conduz à vida, e poucos são os que a encontram.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Guardai-vos dos falsos profetas, que se achegam a vós disfarçados como ovelhas, mas interiormente são lobos devoradores.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Pelos seus frutos os conhecereis. Colhem-se, porventura, uvas dos espinheiros, ou figos dos abrolhos?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Assim, toda boa árvore produz bons frutos; porém uma árvore corrupta produz frutos maus.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Uma árvore boa não pode dar maus frutos; nem uma árvore corrupta dar frutos bons.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Toda árvore que não produz bom fruto é cortada e lançada no fogo.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Portanto, pelos seus frutos os conhecereis.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Nem todo o que me diz: Senhor, Senhor! Entrará no reino dos céus, mas aquele que faz a vontade de meu Pai, que está nos céus.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Muitos me dirão naquele dia: Senhor, Senhor, não profetizamos nós em teu nome? E em teu nome expelimos demônios? E em teu nome fizemos muitos milagres?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Então lhes direi claramente: Nunca vos conheci; apartai-vos de mim, vós que praticais a iniquidade.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Assim, todo aquele que ouve estas minhas palavras e as põe em prática, eu o compararei a um homem sábio, que edificou sua casa sobre a rocha.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

E desceu a chuva, vieram as inundações, sopraram os ventos, e bateram contra aquela casa, e ela não caiu, porque estava fundada sobre a rocha.

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

E todo aquele que ouve estas minhas palavras, e não as põe em prática, será comparado a um homem tolo, que edificou sua casa sobre a areia.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

E desceu a chuva, vieram as inundações, sopraram os ventos, e bateram contra aquela casa, e ela caiu, e grande foi a sua queda.

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

Ao concluir Jesus este discurso, as multidões se maravilhavam da sua doutrina;

For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

porque ele as ensinava como quem tem autoridade e não como os escribas.
