Psalms 46

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Til sangmesteren; av Korahs barn; efter Alamot; en sang.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Gud er vår tilflukt og vår styrke, en hjelp i trengsler, funnet såre stor.

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

Derfor frykter vi ikke, om jorden omskiftes, og om fjell rokkes i havets hjerte,

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

om dets bølger bruser og skummer, og fjell bever ved dets overmot. Sela.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

En strøm - dens bekker gleder Guds stad, den Høiestes hellige bolig.

The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

Gud er midt i den, den skal ikke rokkes; Gud hjelper den når morgenen bryter frem.

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Folkeferd bruste, riker blev rokket; han lot sin røst høre, jorden smeltet.

Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

Herren, hærskarenes Gud, er med oss; Jakobs Gud er vår faste borg. Sela.

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

Kom, se Herrens gjerninger, som har gjort ødeleggelse på jorden!

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Han gjør ende på krigene over hele jorden, bryter buen sønder og hugger spydet av; vognene brenner han op med ild.

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Hold op og kjenn at jeg er Gud! Jeg er ophøiet iblandt folkene, ophøiet på jorden. Herren, hærskarenes Gud, er med oss; Jakobs Gud er vår faste borg. Sela.
