Psalms 132

LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

हे यहोवा, जैसे दाऊद ने यातनाएँ भोगी थी, उसको याद कर।

How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

किन्तु दाऊद ने यहोवा की एक मन्नत मानी थी। दाऊद ने इस्राएल के पराक्रमी परमेश्वर की एक मन्नत मानी थी।

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

दाऊद ने कहा था: “मैं अपने घर में तब तक न जाऊँगा, अपने बिस्तर पर न ही लेटूँगा,

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

न ही सोऊँगा। अपनी आँखों को मैं विश्राम तक न दूँगा।

Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

इसमें से मैं कोई बात भी नहीं करूँगा जब तक मैं यहोवा के लिए एक भवन न प्राप्त कर लूँ। मैं इस्राएल के शक्तिशाली परमेश्वर के लिए एक मन्दिर पा कर रहूँगा!”

Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

एप्राता में हमने इसके विषय में सुना, हमें किरीयथ योरीम के वन में वाचा की सन्दूक मिली थी।

We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

आओ, पवित्र तम्बू में चलो। आओ, हम उस चौकी पर आराधना करें, जहाँ पर परमेश्वर अपने चरण रखता है।

Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

हे यहोवा, तू अपनी विश्राम की जगह से उठ बैठ, तू और तेरी सामर्थ्यवान सन्दूक उठ बैठ।

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

हे यहोवा, तेरे याजक धार्मिकता धारण किये रहते हैं। तेरे जन बहुत प्रसन्न रहते हैं।

For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

तू अपने चुने हुये राजा को अपने सेवक दाऊद के भले के लिए नकार मत।

The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

यहोवा ने दाऊद को एक वचन दिया है कि दाऊद के प्रति वह सच्चा रहेगा। यहोवा ने वचन दिया है कि दाऊद के वंश से राजा आयेंगे।

If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

यहोवा ने कहा था, “यदि तेरी संतानें मेरी वाचा पर और मैंने उन्हें जो शिक्षाएं सिखाई उन पर चलेंगे तो फिर तेरे परिवार का कोई न कोई सदा ही राजा रहेगा।”

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

अपने मन्दिर की जगह के लिए यहोवा ने सिय्योन को चुना था। यह वह जगह है जिसे वह अपने भवन के लिये चाहता था।

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

यहोवा ने कहा था, “यह मेरा स्थान सदा सदा के लिये होगा। मैंने इसे चुना है ऐसा स्थान बनने को जहाँ पर मैं रहूँगा।

I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

भरपूर भोजन से मैं इस नगर को आशीर्वाद दूँगा, यहाँ तक कि दीनों के पास खाने को भर—पूर होगा।

I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

याजकोंको मैं उद्धार का वस्त्र पहनाऊँगा, और यहाँ मेरे भक्त बहुत प्रसन्न रहेंगे।

There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

इस स्थान पर मैं दाऊद को सुदृढ करुँगा। मैं अपने चुने राजा को एक दीपक दूँगा।

His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

मैं दाऊद के शत्रुओं को लज्जा से ढक दूँगा और दाऊद का राज्य बढाऊँगा।”
