Psalms 21

The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

In deiner Kraft, Jehova, freut sich der König, und wie sehr frohlockt er über deine Rettung!

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

Den Wunsch seines Herzens hast du ihm gegeben, und das Verlangen seiner Lippen nicht verweigert. (Sela.)

For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

Denn mit Segnungen des Guten kamst du ihm zuvor; auf sein Haupt setztest du eine Krone von gediegenem Golde.

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

Leben erbat er von dir, du hast es ihm gegeben: Länge der Tage immer und ewiglich.

His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

Groß ist seine Herrlichkeit durch deine Rettung; Majestät und Pracht legtest du auf ihn.

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

Denn zu Segnungen setztest du ihn ewiglich; du erfreutest ihn mit Freude durch dein Angesicht.

For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

Denn auf Jehova vertraut der König, und durch des Höchsten Güte wird er nicht wanken.

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

Deine Hand wird finden alle deine Feinde, finden wird deine Rechte deine Hasser.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

Wie einen Feuerofen wirst du sie machen zur Zeit deiner Gegenwart; Jehova wird sie verschlingen in seinem Zorn, und Feuer wird sie verzehren.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

Ihre Frucht wirst du von der Erde vertilgen, und ihren Samen aus den Menschenkindern.

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

Denn sie haben Böses wider dich geplant, einen Anschlag ersonnen: sie werden nichts vermögen.

Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

Denn du wirst sie umkehren machen, wirst deine Sehne gegen ihr Angesicht richten.

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

Erhebe dich, Jehova, in deiner Kraft! Wir wollen singen und Psalmen singen deiner Macht.
