Matthew 28

Mutta sabbatin päivän lopulla, joka rupesi valaisemaan toista sabbatia , tuli Maria Magdalena ja toinen Maria katsomaan hautaa.

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

Ja katso, suuri maanjäristys tapahtui; sillä Herran enkeli astui alas taivaasta, tuli ja vieritti kiven ovelta, ja istui sen päälle.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

Ja hän oli nähdä niinkuin pitkäisen tuli ja hänen vaatteensa olivat valkiat niinkuin lumi.

His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

Mutta hänen pelvostansa hämmmästyivät vartiat ja tulivat niinkuin he olisivat kuolleet.

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

Mutta enkeli vastasi ja sanoi vaimoille: älkäät peljätkö, sillä minä tiedän teidän etsivän ristiinnaulittua Jesusta.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

Ei hän ole tässä; sillä hän nousi ylös, niinkuin hän sanoi. Tulkaat, katsokaat siaa, kuhunka Herra pantu oli.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Ja menkäät pian ja sanokaat hänen opetuslapsillensa, että hän nousi kuolleista. Ja katso, hän menee teidän edellänne Galileaan: siellä teidän pitää hänen näkemän, katso, minä sen teille sanoin.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Ja he menivät nopiasti haudalta suurella pelvolla ja ilolla, ja juoksivat ilmoittamaan hänen opetuslapsillensa.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

Mutta heidän mennessänsä ilmoittamaan hänen opetuslapsillensa, katso, niin tuli Jesus heitä vastaan ja sanoi: terve teille! Niin he tulivat ja rupesivat hänen jalkoihinsa, ja kumartaen rukoilivat häntä.

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

Silloin sanoi Jesus heille: älkäät peljätkö! menkäät, ilmoittakaat minun veljilleni, että he menisivät Galileaan: siellä he saavat minun nähdä.

Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Mutta kuin he menivät pois, katso, niin tulivat muutamat vartioista kaupunkiin ja ilmoittivat ylimmäisille papeille kaikki, mitä tapahtunut oli.

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

Niin he kokoontuivat vanhimpain kanssa, ja neuvoa pitivät, ja antoivat sotamiehille paljon rahaa,

And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

Sanoen: sanokaat, että hänen opetuslapsensa tulivat yöllä ja varastivat hänen meidän maatessamme.

Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

Ja jos se tulee maaherran korville, niin me tahdomme hänen lepyttää ja saattaa teidät suruttomaksi.

And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

Ja he ottivat rahan, ja tekivät niinkuin he olivat opetetut. Ja tämä puhe on ääneksi otettu Juudalaisten seassa hamaan tähän päivään asti.

So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Mutta ne yksitoistakymmentä opetuslasta menivät Galileaan, sille mäelle, jonka Jesus oli heille määrännyt.

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

Ja kuin he näkivät hänen, kumarsivat he häntä, mutta muutamat epäilivät.

And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Ja Jesus tuli ja puhutteli heitä, sanoen: minulle on annettu kaikki voima taivaassa ja maan päällä.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Menkäät siis ja opettakaat kaikkea kansaa, ja kastakaat heitä nimeen Isän ja Pojan ja Pyhän Hengen,

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Ja opettakaat heitä pitämään kaikki, mitä minä olen teille käskenyt. Ja katso, minä olen teidän kanssanne joka päivä, maailman loppuun asti. Amen!

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
