Romans 3

Kia do estas la supereco de la Judoj? aŭ kia estas la utilo de cirkumcido?

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Multa en ĉiu rilato: unue, ke al ili estis konfiditaj la orakoloj de Dio.

Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

Ĉu do estas grave, se kelkaj ne fidis? ĉu ilia senfideco vantigos la fidelecon de Dio?

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Nepre ne! Dio montriĝu vera, sed ĉiu homo mensoganto, kiel estas skribite: Ke Vi estu justa en Via vorto Kaj pura en Via juĝo.

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Sed se nia maljusteco rekomendas la justecon de Dio, kion ni diros? Ĉu maljusta estas Dio, kiu alportas koleron? (Mi parolas kiel homo.)

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

Nepre ne! ĉar kiel Dio juĝus la mondon?

God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Ĉar se la vero de Dio per mia mensogo abundis al Lia gloro, kial mi estas ankoraŭ juĝata, kiel pekinto?

For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

kaj kial ne (kiel ni estas kalumniataj, kaj kelkaj asertas, ke ni diras): Ni faru malbonon, por ke venu bono? ilia kondamno estas justa.

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Kio do? ĉu ni nin senkulpigas? Tute ne: ĉar ni jam akuzis egale Judojn kaj Grekojn, ke ĉiuj estas sub peko;

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

kiel estas skribite: Ne ekzistas justulo, ne eĉ unu;

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Ne ekzistas prudentulo, Ne ekzistas iu, kiu serĉas Dion;

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Ĉiuj devojiĝis, ĉiuj senutiliĝis; Ekzistas neniu, kiu faras bonon, ne eĉ unu;

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Malfermita tombo estas ilia gorĝo; Per sia lango ili hipokritis; Veneno de vipuro estas sub iliaj lipoj;

Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

Ilia buŝo estas plena de malbenado kaj malico;

Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

Iliaj piedoj rapidas, por verŝi sangon;

Their feet are swift to shed blood:

Ruinigo kaj pereigo estas sur iliaj vojoj;

Destruction and misery are in their ways:

Kaj vojon de paco ili ne konas;

And the way of peace have they not known:

Antaŭ iliaj okuloj ne ekzistas timo antaŭ Dio.

There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Sed ni scias, ke ĉion ajn, kion la leĝo diras, ĝi parolas al tiuj, kiuj estas sub la leĝo; ke ĉiu buŝo fermiĝu, kaj ke la tuta mondo submetiĝu sub la juĝon de Dio;

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

ĉar per la faroj de la leĝo neniu karno praviĝos antaŭ Li; ĉar per la leĝo venas konscio pri peko.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Sed nun, ekster la leĝo, justeco de Dio montriĝis, atestata per la leĝo kaj la profetoj;

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

nome, la justeco de Dio, per fido al Jesuo Kristo, por ĉiuj kredantoj, ĉar ne ekzistas diferencigo;

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

ĉar ĉiuj pekis kaj maltrafis la gloron de Dio;

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

pravigite donace de Lia graco, per la elaĉeto, kiu estas en Kristo Jesuo;

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

kiun Dio antaŭdifinis kiel repacigilon per fido en lia sango, por la elmontrado de Sia justeco per la pardono de la pekoj, antaŭe faritaj laŭ la toleremeco de Dio;

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

por la elmontrado de Lia justeco en la nuna tempo, kaj ke Li estas mem justa, kaj estas la praviganto de tiu, kiu havas fidon en Jesuo.

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Kie do estas la fanfaronado? Ĝi estas esceptita. Per kia leĝo? de faroj? Ne; sed per la leĝo de fido.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Ni do konkludas, ke homo praviĝas per fido, ekster la faroj de la leĝo.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Ĉu Dio estas nur Dio de la Judoj? ĉu ne ankaŭ de la nacianoj? Jes, ankaŭ de la nacianoj;

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

ĉar Dio estas unu, kaj Li pravigos la cirkumcidularon pro fido kaj la necirkumcidularon per fido.

Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Ĉu ni do per fido vantigas la leĝon? Nepre ne! sed ni firmigas la leĝon.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
