Psalms 2

Kial tumultas popoloj, Kaj gentoj pripensas vanaĵon?

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Leviĝas reĝoj de la tero, Kaj eminentuloj konsiliĝas kune, Kontraŭ la Eternulo kaj kontraŭ Lia sanktoleito, dirante:

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

Ni disŝiru iliajn ligilojn, Kaj ni deĵetu de ni iliajn ŝnurojn!

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

La loĝanta en la ĉielo ridas, La Sinjoro mokas ilin.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Tiam Li parolos al ili en Sia kolero, Kaj per Sia furiozo Li ilin ektimigos, dirante:

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Mi starigis ja Mian reĝon Super Cion, Mia sankta monto.

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Mi raportos pri la decido: La Eternulo diris al mi: Vi estas Mia filo, Hodiaŭ Mi vin naskis.

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Petu Min, kaj Mi donos al vi popolojn por heredo, Kaj por posedo limojn de tero.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Vi disbatos ilin per fera sceptro, Kiel potan vazon vi ilin dispecigos.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

Kaj nun, ho reĝoj, prudentiĝu; Instruiĝu, juĝistoj de la tero!

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Servu al la Eternulo kun timo, Kaj ĝoju kun tremo.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Kisu la filon, ke Li ne koleru, kaj vi ne pereu sur la vojo, Ĉar baldaŭ ekbrulos Lia kolero. Feliĉaj estas ĉiuj, kiuj fidas Lin.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
