Защо се разяряват езичниците и народите замислят суета?

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Земните царе застават и управниците се съветват заедно против ГОСПОДА и против Неговия Помазаник,

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

и казват: Нека разкъсаме връзките Им и въжетата Им нека отхвърлим от себе си!

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Този, който седи в небесата, ще се смее, Господ ще им се подиграе.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Тогава ще им говори в гнева Си и ще ги ужаси в яростта Си.

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Ще каже: Я Аз помазах Своя Цар на Сион, светия Си хълм!

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Аз ще възвестя наредбата на ГОСПОДА. Той Ми каза: Ти си Мой Син, Аз днес Те родих.

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Поискай от Мен и Аз ще Ти дам за наследство народите, и за притежание — земните краища.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Ще ги управляваш с желязна тояга, ще ги строшиш като грънчарски съд.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

Затова сега, вразумете се, царе, поучете се, земни съдии.

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Слугувайте на ГОСПОДА със страх и радвайте се с трепет.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Целувайте Сина, за да не се разгневи и да погинете на пътя, когато след малко пламне Неговият гняв. Блажени всички, които се уповават на Него.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
