Job 18

بِلدد سوخی نے جواب دے کر کہا،

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

”تُو کب تک ایسی باتیں کرے گا؟ اِن سے باز آ کر ہوش میں آ! تب ہی ہم صحیح بات کر سکیں گے۔

How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

تُو ہمیں ڈنگر جیسے احمق کیوں سمجھتا ہے؟

Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?

گو تُو آگ بگولا ہو کر اپنے آپ کو پھاڑ رہا ہے، لیکن کیا تیرے باعث زمین کو ویران ہونا چاہئے اور چٹانوں کو اپنی جگہ سے کھسکنا چاہئے؟ ہرگز نہیں!

He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?

یقیناً بےدین کا چراغ بجھ جائے گا، اُس کی آگ کا شعلہ آئندہ نہیں چمکے گا۔

Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

اُس کے خیمے میں روشنی اندھیرا ہو جائے گی، اُس کے اوپر کی شمع بجھ جائے گی۔

The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

اُس کے لمبے قدم رُک رُک کر آگے بڑھیں گے، اور اُس کا اپنا منصوبہ اُسے پٹخ دے گا۔

The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

اُس کے اپنے پاؤں اُسے جال میں پھنسا دیتے ہیں، وہ دام پر ہی چلتا پھرتا ہے۔

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

پھندا اُس کی ایڑی پکڑ لیتا، کمند اُسے جکڑ لیتی ہے۔

The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

اُسے پھنسانے کا رسّا زمین میں چھپا ہوا ہے، راستے میں پھندا بچھا ہے۔

The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

وہ ایسی چیزوں سے گھرا رہتا ہے جو اُسے قدم بہ قدم دہشت کھلاتی اور اُس کی ناک میں دم کرتی ہیں۔

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

آفت اُسے ہڑپ کر لینا چاہتی ہے، تباہی تیار کھڑی ہے تاکہ اُسے گرتے وقت ہی پکڑ لے۔

His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

بیماری اُس کی جِلد کو کھا جاتی، موت کا پہلوٹھا اُس کے اعضا کو نگل لیتا ہے۔

It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.

اُسے اُس کے خیمے کی حفاظت سے چھین لیا جاتا اور گھسیٹ کر دہشتوں کے بادشاہ کے سامنے لایا جاتا ہے۔

His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

اُس کے خیمے میں آگ بستی، اُس کے گھر پر گندھک بکھر جاتی ہے۔

It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

نیچے اُس کی جڑیں سوکھ جاتی، اوپر اُس کی شاخیں مُرجھا جاتی ہیں۔

His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

زمین پر سے اُس کی یاد مٹ جاتی ہے، کہیں بھی اُس کا نام و نشان نہیں رہتا۔

His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

اُسے روشنی سے تاریکی میں دھکیلا جاتا، دنیا سے بھگا کر خارج کیا جاتا ہے۔

He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

قوم میں اُس کی نہ اولاد نہ نسل رہے گی، جہاں پہلے رہتا تھا وہاں کوئی نہیں بچے گا۔

He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

اُس کا انجام دیکھ کر مغرب کے باشندوں کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جاتے اور مشرق کے باشندے دہشت زدہ ہو جاتے ہیں۔

They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.

یہی ہے بےدین کے گھر کا انجام، اُسی کے مقام کا جو اللہ کو نہیں جانتا۔“

Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
