I John 2

Meus filhinhos, estas coisas vos escrevo para que não pequeis. E, se alguém pecar, temos um Advogado junto ao Pai, Jesus Cristo, o justo.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

E ele é a propiciação pelos nossos pecados, e não somente pelos nossos, mas também pelos de todo o mundo.

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

E nisto sabemos que o conhecemos; se guardamos os seus mandamentos.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

Aquele que diz: Eu o conheço, e não guarda os seus mandamentos, é mentiroso, e nele não está a verdade.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Entretanto, qualquer que guarda a sua palavra, nele realmente se tem aperfeiçoado o amor de Deus. E nisto sabemos que estamos nele.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

Aquele que diz estar nele, também deve andar como ele andou.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Amados, não vos escrevo mandamento novo, mas um mandamento antigo, que tendes desde o princípio. Este mandamento antigo é a palavra que ouvistes.

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

Contudo é um novo mandamento que vos escrevo, o qual é verdadeiro nele e em vós; porque as trevas vão passando, e já brilha a verdadeira luz.

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

Aquele que diz estar na luz, e odeia a seu irmão, até agora está nas trevas.

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

Aquele que ama a seu irmão permanece na luz, e nele não há tropeço.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

Mas aquele que odeia a seu irmão está nas trevas, e anda nas trevas, e não sabe para onde vai; porque as trevas lhe cegaram os olhos.

But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Filhinhos, eu vos escrevo, porque os vossos pecados são perdoados, por causa do nome dele.

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

Pais, eu vos escrevo, porque conheceis aquele que é desde o princípio. Jovens, eu vos escrevo, porque vencestes o Maligno. Filhinhos, eu vos escrevo, porque conheceis o Pai.

I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

Pais, eu vos escrevi, porque conhecestes aquele que é desde o princípio. Jovens, eu vos escrevi, porque sois fortes, e a palavra de Deus permanece em vós, e vencestes o Maligno.

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

Não ameis o mundo, nem as coisas que há no mundo. Se alguém ama o mundo, o amor do Pai não está nele.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Porque tudo o que há no mundo, a cobiça da carne, a cobiça dos olhos e a ostentação da vida, não é do Pai, mas é do mundo.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Ora, o mundo passa, e a sua cobiça; mas aquele que faz a vontade de Deus, permanece para sempre.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Filhinhos, esta é a última hora; e, conforme ouvistes que o anticristo virá, mesmo agora existem muitos anticristos; por onde conhecemos que é a última hora.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Saíram dentre nós, mas não eram dos nossos; porque, se fossem dos nossos, teriam permanecido conosco; mas isto é para que se manifestassem, que não são todos de nós.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Ora, vós tendes a unção da parte do Santo, e sabeis todas as coisas.

But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Não vos escrevi porque não saibais a verdade, mas porque a sabeis, e porque mentira nenhuma vem da verdade.

I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

Quem é o mentiroso, senão aquele que nega que Jesus é o Cristo? Este é o anticristo, que nega o Pai e o Filho.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Qualquer que nega o Filho, também não tem o Pai; aquele que confessa o Filho, tem também o Pai.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

Permaneça em vós o que ouvistes desde o princípio. Se em vós permanecer o que ouvistes desde o princípio, também vós permanecereis no Filho e no Pai.

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

E esta é a promessa que ele nos fez: a vida eterna.

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

Estas coisas vos escrevi acerca daqueles que vos enganam.

These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

Quanto a vós outros, a unção que dele recebestes permanece em vós, e não tendes necessidade de que alguém vos ensine; mas, como a sua unção vos ensina a respeito de todas as coisas, e é verdadeira, e não é falsa; como ela vos ensinou, assim permanecereis nele.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

E agora, filhinhos, permanecei nele; para que, quando ele se manifestar, tenhamos confiança, e não fiquemos confundidos diante dele na sua vinda.

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Se sabeis que ele é justo, sabeis que todo aquele que pratica a justiça é nascido dele.

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
