Psalms 92

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

زبور۔ سبت کے لئے گیت۔ رب کا شکر کرنا بھلا ہے۔ اے اللہ تعالیٰ، تیرے نام کی مدح سرائی کرنا بھلا ہے۔

To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

صبح کو تیری شفقت اور رات کو تیری وفا کا اعلان کرنا بھلا ہے،

Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

خاص کر جب ساتھ ساتھ دس تاروں والا ساز، ستار اور سرود بجتے ہیں۔

For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

کیونکہ اے رب، تُو نے مجھے اپنے کاموں سے خوش کیا ہے، اور تیرے ہاتھوں کے کام دیکھ کر مَیں خوشی کے نعرے لگاتا ہوں۔

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

اے رب، تیرے کام کتنے عظیم، تیرے خیالات کتنے گہرے ہیں۔

A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

نادان یہ نہیں جانتا، احمق کو اِس کی سمجھ نہیں آتی۔

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

گو بےدین گھاس کی طرح پھوٹ نکلتے اور بدکار سب پھلتے پھولتے ہیں، لیکن آخرکار وہ ہمیشہ کے لئے ہلاک ہو جائیں گے۔

But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

مگر تُو، اے رب، ابد تک سربلند رہے گا۔

For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

کیونکہ تیرے دشمن، اے رب، تیرے دشمن یقیناً تباہ ہو جائیں گے، بدکار سب تتر بتر ہو جائیں گے۔

But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

تُو نے مجھے جنگلی بَیل کی سی طاقت دے کر تازہ تیل سے مسح کیا ہے۔

Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

میری آنکھ اپنے دشمنوں کی شکست سے اور میرے کان اُن شریروں کے انجام سے لطف اندوز ہوئے ہیں جو میرے خلاف اُٹھ کھڑے ہوئے ہیں۔

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

راست باز کھجور کے درخت کی طرح پھلے پھولے گا، وہ لبنان کے دیودار کے درخت کی طرح بڑھے گا۔

Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

جو پودے رب کی سکونت گاہ میں لگائے گئے ہیں وہ ہمارے خدا کی بارگاہوں میں پھلیں پھولیں گے۔

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

وہ بُڑھاپے میں بھی پھل لائیں گے اور تر و تازہ اور ہرے بھرے رہیں گے۔

To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

اُس وقت بھی وہ اعلان کریں گے، ”رب راست ہے۔ وہ میری چٹان ہے، اور اُس میں ناراستی نہیں ہوتی۔“
