Psalms 149

Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

رب کی حمد ہو! رب کی تمجید میں نیا گیت گاؤ، ایمان داروں کی جماعت میں اُس کی تعریف کرو۔

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

اسرائیل اپنے خالق سے خوش ہو، صیون کے فرزند اپنے بادشاہ کی خوشی منائیں۔

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

وہ ناچ کر اُس کے نام کی ستائش کریں، دف اور سرود سے اُس کی مدح سرائی کریں۔

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

کیونکہ رب اپنی قوم سے خوش ہے۔ وہ مصیبت زدوں کو اپنی نجات کی شان و شوکت سے آراستہ کرتا ہے۔

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

ایمان دار اِس شان و شوکت کے باعث خوشی منائیں، وہ اپنے بستروں پر شادمانی کے نعرے لگائیں۔

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

اُن کے منہ میں اللہ کی حمد و ثنا اور اُن کے ہاتھوں میں دو دھاری تلوار ہو

To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

تاکہ دیگر اقوام سے انتقام لیں اور اُمّتوں کو سزا دیں۔

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

وہ اُن کے بادشاہوں کو زنجیروں میں اور اُن کے شرفا کو بیڑیوں میں جکڑ لیں گے

To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

تاکہ اُنہیں وہ سزا دیں جس کا فیصلہ قلم بند ہو چکا ہے۔ یہ عزت اللہ کے تمام ایمان داروں کو حاصل ہے۔ رب کی حمد ہو!
