Jeremiah 52

Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

صِدقیاہ 21 سال کی عمر میں بادشاہ بنا، اور یروشلم میں اُس کی حکومت کا دورانیہ 11 سال تھا۔ اُس کی ماں حموطل بنت یرمیاہ لِبناہ شہر کی رہنے والی تھی۔

And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

یہویقیم کی طرح صِدقیاہ ایسا کام کرتا رہا جو رب کو ناپسند تھا۔

For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

رب یروشلم اور یہوداہ کے باشندوں سے اِتنا ناراض ہوا کہ آخر میں اُس نے اُنہیں اپنے حضور سے خارج کر دیا۔ ایک دن صِدقیاہ بابل کے بادشاہ سے سرکش ہوا،

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.

اِس لئے شاہِ بابل نبوکدنضر تمام فوج اپنے ساتھ لے کر دوبارہ یروشلم پہنچا تاکہ اُس پر حملہ کرے۔ صِدقیاہ کی حکومت کے نویں سال میں بابل کی فوج یروشلم کا محاصرہ کرنے لگی۔ یہ کام دسویں مہینے کے دسویں دن شروع ہوا۔ پورے شہر کے ارد گرد بادشاہ نے پُشتے بنوائے۔

So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

صِدقیاہ کی حکومت کے 11ویں سال تک یروشلم قائم رہا۔

And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

لیکن پھر کال نے شہر میں زور پکڑا، اور عوام کے لئے کھانے کی چیزیں نہ رہیں۔ چوتھے مہینے کے نویں دن

Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.

بابل کے فوجیوں نے فصیل میں رخنہ ڈال دیا۔ اُسی رات صِدقیاہ اپنے تمام فوجیوں سمیت فرار ہونے میں کامیاب ہوا، اگرچہ شہر دشمن سے گھرا ہوا تھا۔ وہ فصیل کے اُس دروازے سے نکلے جو شاہی باغ کے ساتھ ملحق دو دیواروں کے بیچ میں تھا۔ وہ وادیِ یردن کی طرف بھاگنے لگے،

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

لیکن بابل کی فوج نے بادشاہ کا تعاقب کر کے اُسے یریحو کے میدان میں پکڑ لیا۔ اُس کے فوجی اُس سے الگ ہو کر چاروں طرف منتشر ہو گئے،

Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.

اور وہ خود گرفتار ہو گیا۔ پھر اُسے ملکِ حمات کے شہر رِبلہ میں شاہِ بابل کے پاس لایا گیا، اور وہیں اُس نے صِدقیاہ پر فیصلہ صادر کیا۔

And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

صِدقیاہ کے دیکھتے دیکھتے شاہِ بابل نے رِبلہ میں اُس کے بیٹوں کو قتل کیا۔ ساتھ ساتھ اُس نے یہوداہ کے تمام بزرگوں کو بھی موت کے گھاٹ اُتار دیا۔

Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

پھر اُس نے صِدقیاہ کی آنکھیں نکلوا کر اُسے پیتل کی زنجیروں میں جکڑ لیا اور بابل لے گیا جہاں وہ جیتے جی رہا۔

Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar–adan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,

شاہِ بابل نبوکدنضر کی حکومت کے 19ویں سال میں بادشاہ کا خاص افسر نبوزرادان یروشلم پہنچا۔ وہ شاہی محافظوں پر مقرر تھا۔ پانچویں مہینے کے ساتویں دن اُس نے آ کر

And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:

رب کے گھر، شاہی محل اور یروشلم کے تمام مکانوں کو جلا دیا۔ ہر بڑی عمارت بھسم ہو گئی۔

And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.

اُس نے اپنے تمام فوجیوں سے شہر کی پوری فصیل کو بھی گرا دیا۔

Then Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

پھر نبوزرادان نے سب کو جلاوطن کر دیا جو یروشلم میں پیچھے رہ گئے تھے۔ وہ بھی اُن میں شامل تھے جو جنگ کے دوران غداری کر کے شاہِ بابل کے پیچھے لگ گئے تھے۔ نبوزرادان باقی ماندہ کاری گر اور غریبوں میں سے بھی کچھ بابل لے گیا۔

But Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.

لیکن اُس نے سب سے نچلے طبقے کے بعض لوگوں کو ملکِ یہوداہ میں چھوڑ دیا تاکہ وہ انگور کے باغوں اور کھیتوں کو سنبھالیں۔

Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.

بابل کے فوجیوں نے رب کے گھر میں جا کر پیتل کے دونوں ستونوں، پانی کے باسنوں کو اُٹھانے والی ہتھ گاڑیوں اور سمندر نامی پیتل کے حوض کو توڑ دیا اور سارا پیتل اُٹھا کر بابل لے گئے۔

The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

وہ رب کے گھر کی خدمت سرانجام دینے کے لئے درکار سامان بھی لے گئے یعنی بالٹیاں، بیلچے، بتی کترنے کے اوزار، چھڑکاؤ کے کٹورے، پیالے اور پیتل کا باقی سارا سامان۔

And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.

خالص سونے اور چاندی کے برتن بھی اِس میں شامل تھے یعنی باسن، جلتے ہوئے کوئلے کے برتن، چھڑکاؤ کے کٹورے، بالٹیاں، شمع دان، پیالے اور مَے کی نذریں پیش کرنے کے برتن۔ شاہی محافظوں کا یہ افسر سارا سامان اُٹھا کر بابل لے گیا۔

The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

جب دونوں ستونوں، سمندر نامی حوض، حوض کو اُٹھانے والے پیتل کے بَیلوں اور باسنوں کو اُٹھانے والی ہتھ گاڑیوں کا پیتل تڑوایا گیا تو وہ اِتنا وزنی تھا کہ اُسے تولا نہ جا سکا۔ سلیمان بادشاہ نے یہ چیزیں رب کے گھر کے لئے بنوائی تھیں۔

And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.

ہر ستون کی اونچائی 27 فٹ اور گھیرا 18 فٹ تھا۔ دونوں کھوکھلے تھے، اور اُن کی دیواروں کی موٹائی 3 انچ تھی۔

And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.

اُن کے بالائی حصوں کی اونچائی ساڑھے سات فٹ تھی، اور وہ پیتل کی جالی اور اناروں سے سجے ہوئے تھے۔

And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.

96 انار لگے ہوئے تھے۔ جالی کے ارد گرد کُل 100 انار لگے تھے۔

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

شاہی محافظوں کے افسر نبوزرادان نے ذیل کے قیدیوں کو الگ کر دیا: امامِ اعظم سرایاہ، اُس کے بعد آنے والے امام صفنیاہ، رب کے گھر کے تین دربانوں،

He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

شہر کے بچے ہوؤں میں سے اُس افسر کو جو شہر کے فوجیوں پر مقرر تھا، صِدقیاہ بادشاہ کے سات مشیروں، اُمّت کی بھرتی کرنے والے افسر اور شہر میں موجود اُس کے 60 مردوں کو۔

So Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

نبوزرادان اِن سب کو الگ کر کے صوبہ حمات کے شہر رِبلہ لے گیا جہاں شاہِ بابل تھا۔

And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

وہاں نبوکدنضر نے اُنہیں سزائے موت دی۔ یوں یہوداہ کے باشندوں کو جلاوطن کر دیا گیا۔

This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:

نبوکدنضر نے اپنی حکومت کے 7ویں سال میں یہوداہ کے 3,023 افراد،

In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:

18ویں سال میں یروشلم کے 832 افراد،

In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.

اور 23ویں سال میں 745 افراد کو جلاوطن کر دیا۔ یہ آخری لوگ شاہی محافظوں کے افسر نبوزرادان کے ذریعے بابل لائے گئے۔ کُل 4,600 افراد جلاوطن ہوئے۔

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil–merodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,

یہوداہ کے بادشاہ یہویاکین کی جلاوطنی کے 37ویں سال میں اَویل مرودک بابل کا بادشاہ بنا۔ اُسی سال کے 12ویں مہینے کے 25ویں دن اُس نے یہویاکین کو قیدخانے سے آزاد کر دیا۔

And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,

اُس نے اُس کے ساتھ نرم باتیں کر کے اُسے عزت کی ایسی کرسی پر بٹھایا جو بابل میں جلاوطن کئے گئے باقی بادشاہوں کی نسبت زیادہ اہم تھی۔

And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.

یہویاکین کو قیدی کے کپڑے اُتارنے کی اجازت ملی، اور اُسے زندگی بھر بادشاہ کی میز پر باقاعدگی سے کھانا کھانے کا شرف حاصل رہا۔

And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.

بادشاہ نے مقرر کیا کہ یہویاکین کو عمر بھر اِتنا وظیفہ ملتا رہے کہ اُس کی روزمرہ ضروریات پوری ہوتی رہیں۔
