Ephesians 6

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

بچو، خداوند میں اپنے ماں باپ کے تابع رہیں، کیونکہ یہی راست بازی کا تقاضا ہے۔

Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

کلامِ مُقدّس میں لکھا ہے، ”اپنے باپ اور اپنی ماں کی عزت کرنا۔“ یہ پہلا حکم ہے جس کے ساتھ ایک وعدہ بھی کیا گیا ہے،

That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

”پھر تُو خوش حال اور زمین پر دیر تک جیتا رہے گا۔“

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

اے والدو، اپنے بچوں سے ایسا سلوک مت کریں کہ وہ غصے ہو جائیں بلکہ اُنہیں خداوند کی طرف سے تربیت اور ہدایت دے کر پالیں۔

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

غلامو، ڈرتے اور کانپتے ہوئے اپنے انسانی مالکوں کے تابع رہیں۔ خلوص دلی سے اُن کی خدمت یوں کریں جیسے مسیح کی۔

Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

نہ صرف اُن کے سامنے ہی اور اُنہیں خوش رکھنے کے لئے خدمت کریں بلکہ مسیح کے غلاموں کی حیثیت سے جو پوری لگن سے اللہ کی مرضی پوری کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔

With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

خوشی سے خدمت کریں، اِس طرح جیسا کہ آپ نہ صرف انسانوں کی بلکہ خداوند کی خدمت کر رہے ہوں۔

Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

آپ تو جانتے ہیں کہ جو بھی اچھا کام ہم نے کیا اُس کا اجر خداوند دے گا، خواہ ہم غلام ہوں یا آزاد۔

And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

اور مالکو، آپ بھی اپنے غلاموں سے ایسا ہی سلوک کریں۔ اُنہیں دھمکیاں نہ دیں۔ آپ کو تو معلوم ہے کہ آسمان پر آپ کا بھی مالک ہے اور کہ وہ جانب دار نہیں ہوتا۔

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

ایک آخری بات، خداوند اور اُس کی زبردست قوت میں طاقت ور بن جائیں۔

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

اللہ کا پورا زرہ بکتر پہن لیں تاکہ ابلیس کی چالوں کا سامنا کر سکیں۔

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

کیونکہ ہماری جنگ انسان کے ساتھ نہیں ہے بلکہ حکمرانوں اور اختیار والوں کے ساتھ، اِس تاریک دنیا کے حاکموں کے ساتھ اور آسمانی دنیا کی شیطانی قوتوں کے ساتھ ہے۔

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

چنانچہ اللہ کا پورا زرہ بکتر پہن لیں تاکہ آپ مصیبت کے دن ابلیس کے حملوں کا سامنا کر سکیں بلکہ سب کچھ سرانجام دینے کے بعد قائم رہ سکیں۔

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

اب یوں کھڑے ہو جائیں کہ آپ کی کمر میں سچائی کا پٹکا بندھا ہوا ہو، آپ کے سینے پر راست بازی کا سینہ بند لگا ہو

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

اور آپ کے پاؤں میں ایسے جوتے ہوں جو صلح سلامتی کی خوش خبری سنانے کے لئے تیار رہیں۔

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

اِس کے علاوہ ایمان کی ڈھال بھی اُٹھائے رکھیں، کیونکہ اِس سے آپ ابلیس کے جلتے ہوئے تیر بجھا سکتے ہیں۔

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

اپنے سر پر نجات کا خود پہن کر ہاتھ میں روح کی تلوار جو اللہ کا کلام ہے تھامے رکھیں۔

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

اور ہر موقع پر روح میں ہرطرح کی دعا اور منت کرتے رہیں۔ جاگتے اور ثابت قدمی سے تمام مُقدّسین کے لئے دعا کرتے رہیں۔

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

میرے لئے بھی دعا کریں کہ جب بھی مَیں اپنا منہ کھولوں اللہ مجھے ایسے الفاظ عطا کرے کہ پوری دلیری سے اُس کی خوش خبری کا راز سنا سکوں۔

For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

کیونکہ مَیں اِسی پیغام کی خاطر قیدی، ہاں زنجیروں میں جکڑا ہوا مسیح کا ایلچی ہوں۔ دعا کریں کہ مَیں مسیح میں اُتنی دلیری سے یہ پیغام سناؤں جتنا مجھے کرنا چاہئے۔

But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

آپ میرے حال اور کام کے بارے میں بھی جاننا چاہیں گے۔ خداوند میں ہمارا عزیز بھائی اور وفادار خادم تُخِکُس آپ کو یہ سب کچھ بتا دے گا۔

Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

مَیں نے اُسے اِسی لئے آپ کے پاس بھیج دیا کہ آپ کو ہمارے حال کا پتا چلے اور آپ کو تسلی ملے۔

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

خدا باپ اور خداوند عیسیٰ مسیح آپ بھائیوں کو سلامتی اور ایمان کے ساتھ محبت عطا کریں۔

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Written from Rome unto the Ephesians by Tychicus.

اللہ کا فضل اُن سب کے ساتھ ہو جو اَن مٹ محبت کے ساتھ ہمارے خداوند عیسیٰ مسیح کو پیار کرتے ہیں۔
