Daniel 11

Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.

مادی بادشاہ دارا کی حکومت کے پہلے سال سے ہی مَیں میکائیل کے ساتھ کھڑا رہا ہوں تاکہ اُس کو سہارا دوں اور اُس کی حفاظت کروں۔)

And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

اب مَیں تجھے وہ کچھ بتاتا ہوں جو یقیناً پیش آئے گا۔ فارس میں مزید تین بادشاہ تخت پر بیٹھیں گے۔ اِس کے بعد ایک چوتھا آدمی بادشاہ بنے گا جو تمام دوسروں سے کہیں زیادہ دولت مند ہو گا۔ جب وہ دولت کے باعث طاقت ور ہو جائے گا تو وہ یونانی مملکت سے لڑنے کے لئے سب کچھ جمع کرے گا۔

And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

پھر ایک زورآور بادشاہ برپا ہو جائے گا جو بڑی قوت سے حکومت کرے گا اور جو جی چاہے کرے گا۔

And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

لیکن جوں ہی وہ برپا ہو جائے اُس کی سلطنت ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو کر ایک شمالی، ایک جنوبی، ایک مغربی اور ایک مشرقی حصے میں تقسیم ہو جائے گی۔ نہ یہ چار حصے پہلی سلطنت جتنے طاقت ور ہوں گے، نہ بادشاہ کی اولاد تخت پر بیٹھے گی، کیونکہ اُس کی سلطنت جڑ سے اُکھاڑ کر دوسروں کو دی جائے گی۔

And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.

جنوبی ملک کا بادشاہ تقویت پائے گا، لیکن اُس کا ایک افسر کہیں زیادہ طاقت ور ہو جائے گا، اُس کی حکومت کہیں زیادہ مضبوط ہو گی۔

And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.

چند سال کے بعد دونوں سلطنتیں متحد ہو جائیں گی۔ عہد کو مضبوط کرنے کے لئے جنوبی بادشاہ کی بیٹی کی شادی شمالی بادشاہ سے کرائی جائے گی۔ لیکن نہ بیٹی کامیاب ہو گی، نہ اُس کا شوہر اور نہ اُس کی طاقت قائم رہے گی۔ اُن دنوں میں اُسے اُس کے ساتھیوں، باپ اور شوہر سمیت دشمن کے حوالے کیا جائے گا۔

But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:

بیٹی کی جگہ اُس کا ایک رشتے دار کھڑا ہو جائے گا جو شمالی بادشاہ کی فوج پر حملہ کر کے اُس کے قلعے میں گھس آئے گا۔ وہ اُن سے نپٹ کر فتح پائے گا

And shall also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.

اور اُن کے ڈھالے ہوئے بُتوں کو سونے چاندی کی قیمتی چیزوں سمیت چھین کر مصر لے جائے گا۔ وہ کچھ سال تک شمالی بادشاہ کو نہیں چھیڑے گا۔

So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.

پھر شمالی بادشاہ جنوبی بادشاہ کے ملک میں گھس آئے گا، لیکن اُسے اپنے ملک میں واپس جانا پڑے گا۔

But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.

اِس کے بعد اُس کے بیٹے جنگ کی تیاریاں کر کے بڑی بڑی فوجیں جمع کریں گے۔ اُن میں سے ایک جنوبی بادشاہ کی طرف بڑھ کر سیلاب کی طرح جنوبی ملک پر آئے گی اور لڑتے لڑتے اُس کے قلعے تک پہنچے گی۔

And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.

پھر جنوبی بادشاہ طیش میں آ کر شمالی بادشاہ سے لڑنے کے لئے نکلے گا۔ شمالی بادشاہ جواب میں بڑی فوج کھڑی کرے گا، لیکن وہ شکست کھا کر

And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.

تباہ ہو جائے گی۔ تب جنوبی بادشاہ کا دل غرور سے بھر جائے گا، اور وہ بےشمار افراد کو موت کے گھاٹ اُتارے گا۔ توبھی وہ طاقت ور نہیں رہے گا۔

For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.

کیونکہ شمالی بادشاہ ایک اَور فوج جمع کرے گا جو پہلی کی نسبت کہیں زیادہ بڑی ہو گی۔ چند سال کے بعد وہ اِس بڑی اور ہتھیاروں سے لیس فوج کے ساتھ جنوبی بادشاہ سے لڑنے آئے گا۔

And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.

اُس وقت بہت سے لوگ جنوبی بادشاہ کے خلاف اُٹھ کھڑے ہوں گے۔ تیری قوم کے بےدین لوگ بھی اُس کے خلاف کھڑے ہو جائیں گے اور یوں رویا کو پورا کریں گے۔ لیکن وہ ٹھوکر کھا کر گر جائیں گے۔

So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.

پھر شمالی بادشاہ آ کر ایک قلعہ بند شہر کا محاصرہ کرے گا۔ وہ پُشتہ بنا کر شہر پر قبضہ کر لے گا۔ جنوب کی فوجیں اُسے روک نہیں سکیں گی، اُن کے بہترین دستے بھی بےبس ہو کر اُس کا سامنا نہیں کر سکیں گے۔

But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.

حملہ آور بادشاہ جو جی چاہے کرے گا، اور کوئی اُس کا سامنا نہیں کر سکے گا۔ اُس وقت وہ خوب صورت ملک اسرائیل میں ٹک جائے گا اور اُسے تباہ کرنے کا اختیار رکھے گا۔

He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.

تب وہ اپنی پوری سلطنت پر قابو پانے کا منصوبہ باندھے گا۔ اِس ضمن میں وہ جنوبی بادشاہ کے ساتھ عہد باندھ کر اُس سے اپنی بیٹی کی شادی کرائے گا تاکہ جنوبی ملک کو تباہ کرے، لیکن بےفائدہ۔ منصوبہ ناکام ہو جائے گا۔

After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.

اِس کے بعد وہ ساحلی علاقوں کی طرف رُخ کرے گا۔ اُن میں سے وہ بہتوں پر قبضہ بھی کرے گا، لیکن آخرکار ایک حکمران اُس کے گستاخانہ رویے کا خاتمہ کرے گا، اور اُسے شرمندہ ہو کر پیچھے ہٹنا پڑے گا۔

Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.

پھر شمالی بادشاہ اپنے ملک کے قلعوں کے پاس واپس آئے گا، لیکن اِتنے میں ٹھوکر کھا کر گر جائے گا۔ تب اُس کا نام و نشان تک نہیں رہے گا۔

Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

اُس کی جگہ ایک بادشاہ برپا ہو جائے گا جو اپنے افسر کو شاندار ملک اسرائیل میں بھیجے گا تاکہ وہاں سے گزر کر لوگوں سے ٹیکس لے۔ لیکن تھوڑے دنوں کے بعد وہ تباہ ہو جائے گا۔ نہ وہ کسی جھگڑے کے سبب سے ہلاک ہو گا، نہ کسی جنگ میں۔

And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

اُس کی جگہ ایک قابلِ مذمت آدمی کھڑا ہو جائے گا۔ وہ تخت کے لئے مقرر نہیں ہوا ہو گا بلکہ غیرمتوقع طور پر آ کر سازشوں کے وسیلے سے بادشاہ بنے گا۔

And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

مخالف فوجیں اُس پر ٹوٹ پڑیں گی، لیکن وہ سیلاب کی طرح اُن پر آ کر اُنہیں بہا لے جائے گا۔ وہ اور عہد کا ایک رئیس تباہ ہو جائیں گے۔

And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.

کیونکہ اُس کے ساتھ عہد باندھنے کے بعد وہ اُسے فریب دے گا اور صرف تھوڑے ہی افراد کے ذریعے اقتدار حاصل کر لے گا۔

He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

وہ غیرمتوقع طور پر دولت مند صوبوں میں گھس کر وہ کچھ کرے گا جو نہ اُس کے باپ اور نہ اُس کے باپ دادا سے کبھی سرزد ہوا ہو گا۔ لُوٹا ہوا مال اور ملکیت وہ اپنے لوگوں میں تقسیم کرے گا۔ وہ قلعہ بند شہروں پر قبضہ کرنے کے منصوبے بھی باندھے گا، لیکن صرف محدود عرصے کے لئے۔

And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

پھر وہ ہمت باندھ کر اور پورا زور لگا کر بڑی فوج کے ساتھ جنوبی بادشاہ سے لڑنے جائے گا۔ جواب میں جنوبی بادشاہ ایک بڑی اور نہایت ہی طاقت ور فوج کو لڑنے کے لئے تیار کرے گا۔ توبھی وہ شمالی بادشاہ کا سامنا نہیں کر پائے گا، اِس لئے کہ اُس کے خلاف سازشیں کامیاب ہو جائیں گی۔

Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.

اُس کی روٹی کھانے والے ہی اُسے تباہ کریں گے۔ تب اُس کی فوج منتشر ہو جائے گی، اور بہت سے افراد میدانِ جنگ میں کھیت آئیں گے۔

And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

دونوں بادشاہ مذاکرات کے لئے ایک ہی میز پر بیٹھ جائیں گے۔ وہاں دونوں جھوٹ بولتے ہوئے ایک دوسرے کو نقصان پہنچانے کے لئے کوشاں رہیں گے۔ لیکن کسی کو کامیابی حاصل نہیں ہو گی، کیونکہ مقررہ آخری وقت ابھی نہیں آنا ہے۔

Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

شمالی بادشاہ بڑی دولت کے ساتھ اپنے ملک میں واپس چلا جائے گا۔ راستے میں وہ مُقدّس عہد کی قوم اسرائیل پر دھیان دے کر اُسے نقصان پہنچائے گا، پھر اپنے وطن واپس جائے گا۔

At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.

مقررہ وقت پر وہ دوبارہ جنوبی ملک میں گھس آئے گا، لیکن پہلے کی نسبت اِس بار نتیجہ فرق ہو گا۔

For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

کیونکہ کِتّیم کے بحری جہاز اُس کی مخالفت کریں گے، اور وہ حوصلہ ہارے گا۔ تب وہ مُڑ کر مُقدّس عہد کی قوم پر اپنا پورا غصہ اُتارے گا۔ جو مُقدّس عہد کو ترک کریں گے اُن پر وہ مہربانی کرے گا۔

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

اُس کے فوجی آ کر قلعہ بند مقدِس کی بےحرمتی کریں گے۔ وہ روزانہ کی قربانیوں کا انتظام بند کر کے تباہی کا مکروہ بُت کھڑا کریں گے۔

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

جو یہودی پہلے سے عہد کی خلاف ورزی کر رہے ہوں گے اُنہیں وہ چِکنی چپڑی باتوں سے مرتد ہو جانے پر آمادہ کرے گا۔ لیکن جو لوگ اپنے خدا کو جانتے ہیں وہ مضبوط رہ کر اُس کی مخالفت کریں گے۔

And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

قوم کے سمجھ دار بہتوں کو صحیح راہ کی تعلیم دیں گے۔ لیکن کچھ عرصے کے لئے وہ تلوار، آگ، قید اور لُوٹ مار کے باعث ڈانواں ڈول رہیں گے۔

Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.

اُس وقت اُنہیں تھوڑی بہت مدد حاصل تو ہو گی، لیکن بہت سے ایسے لوگ اُن کے ساتھ مل جائیں گے جو مخلص نہیں ہوں گے۔

And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

سمجھ داروں میں سے کچھ ڈانواں ڈول ہو جائیں گے تاکہ لوگوں کو آزما کر آخری وقت تک خالص اور پاک صاف کیا جائے۔ کیونکہ مقررہ وقت کچھ دیر کے بعد آئے گا۔

And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

بادشاہ جو جی چاہے کرے گا۔ وہ سرفراز ہو کر اپنے آپ کو تمام معبودوں سے عظیم قرار دے گا۔ خداؤں کے خدا کے خلاف وہ ناقابلِ بیان کفر بکے گا۔ اُسے کامیابی بھی حاصل ہو گی، لیکن صرف اُس وقت تک جب تک الٰہی غضب ٹھنڈا نہ ہو جائے۔ کیونکہ جو کچھ مقرر ہوا ہے اُسے پورا ہونا ہے۔

Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

بادشاہ نہ اپنے باپ دادا کے دیوتاؤں کی پروا کرے گا، نہ عورتوں کے عزیز دیوتا کی، نہ کسی اَور کی۔ کیونکہ وہ اپنے آپ کو سب پر سرفراز کرے گا۔

But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

اِن دیوتاؤں کے بجائے وہ قلعوں کے دیوتا کی پوجا کرے گا جس سے اُس کے باپ دادا واقف ہی نہیں تھے۔ وہ سونے چاندی، جواہرات اور قیمتی تحفوں سے دیوتا کا احترام کرے گا۔

Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

چنانچہ وہ اجنبی معبود کی مدد سے مضبوط قلعوں پر حملہ کرے گا۔ جو اُس کی حکومت مانیں اُن کی وہ بڑی عزت کرے گا، اُنہیں بہتوں پر مقرر کرے گا اور اُن میں اجر کے طور پر زمین تقسیم کرے گا۔

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

لیکن پھر آخری وقت آئے گا۔ جنوبی بادشاہ جنگ میں اُس سے ٹکرائے گا، تو جواب میں شمالی بادشاہ رتھ، گھڑسوار اور متعدد بحری جہاز لے کر اُس پر ٹوٹ پڑے گا۔ تب وہ بہت سے ملکوں میں گھس آئے گا اور سیلاب کی طرح سب کچھ غرق کر کے آگے بڑھے گا۔

He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

اِس دوران وہ خوب صورت ملک اسرائیل میں بھی گھس آئے گا۔ بہت سے ممالک شکست کھائیں گے، لیکن ادوم اور موآب عمون کے مرکزی حصے سمیت بچ جائیں گے۔

He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

اُس وقت اُس کا اقتدار بہت سے ممالک پر چھا جائے گا، مصر بھی نہیں بچے گا۔

But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

شمالی بادشاہ مصر کی سونے چاندی اور باقی دولت پر قبضہ کرے گا، اور لبیا اور ایتھوپیا بھی اُس کے نقشِ قدم پر چلیں گے۔

But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

لیکن پھر مشرق اور شمال کی طرف سے افواہیں اُسے صدمہ پہنچائیں گی، اور وہ بڑے طیش میں آ کر بہتوں کو تباہ اور ہلاک کرنے کے لئے نکلے گا۔

And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

راستے میں وہ سمندر اور خوب صورت مُقدّس پہاڑ کے درمیان اپنے شاہی خیمے لگا لے گا۔ لیکن پھر اُس کا انجام آئے گا، اور کوئی اُس کی مدد نہیں کرے گا۔
