Daniel 12

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

اُس وقت فرشتوں کا عظیم سردار میکائیل اُٹھ کھڑا ہو گا، وہ جو تیری قوم کی شفاعت کرتا ہے۔ مصیبت کا ایسا وقت ہو گا کہ قوموں کے پیدا ہونے سے لے کر اُس وقت تک نہیں ہوا ہو گا۔ لیکن ساتھ ساتھ تیری قوم کو نجات ملے گی۔ جس کا بھی نام اللہ کی کتاب میں درج ہے وہ نجات پائے گا۔

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

تب خاک میں سوئے ہوئے متعدد لوگ جاگ اُٹھیں گے، کچھ ابدی زندگی پانے کے لئے اور کچھ ابدی رُسوائی اور گھن کا نشانہ بننے کے لئے۔

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

جو سمجھ دار ہیں وہ آسمان کی آب و تاب کی مانند چمکیں گے، اور جو بہتوں کو راست راہ پر لائے ہیں وہ ہمیشہ تک ستاروں کی طرح جگمگائیں گے۔

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

لیکن تُو، اے دانیال، اِن باتوں کو چھپائے رکھ! اِس کتاب پر آخری وقت تک مُہر لگا دے! بہت لوگ اِدھر اُدھر گھومتے پھریں گے، اور علم میں اضافہ ہوتا جائے گا۔“

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

پھر مَیں، دانیال نے دریا کے پاس دو آدمیوں کو دیکھا۔ ایک اِس کنارے پر کھڑا تھا جبکہ دوسرا دوسرے کنارے پر۔

And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

کتان سے ملبّس آدمی بہتے ہوئے پانی کے اوپر تھا۔ کناروں پر کھڑے آدمیوں میں سے ایک نے اُس سے پوچھا، ”اِن حیرت انگیز باتوں کی تکمیل تک مزید کتنی دیر لگے گی؟“

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

کتان سے ملبّس آدمی نے دونوں ہاتھ آسمان کی طرف اُٹھائے اور ابد تک زندہ خدا کی قَسم کھا کر بولا، ”پہلے ایک عرصہ، پھر دو عرصے، پھر آدھا عرصہ گزرے گا۔ پہلے مُقدّس قوم کی طاقت کو پاش پاش کرنے کا سلسلہ اختتام پر پہنچنا ہے۔ اِس کے بعد ہی یہ تمام باتیں تکمیل تک پہنچیں گی۔“

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

گو مَیں نے اُس کی یہ بات سنی، لیکن وہ میری سمجھ میں نہ آئی۔ چنانچہ مَیں نے پوچھا، ”میرے آقا، اِن تمام باتوں کا کیا انجام ہو گا؟“

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

وہ بولا، ”اے دانیال، اب چلا جا! کیونکہ اِن باتوں کو آخری وقت تک چھپائے رکھنا ہے۔ اُس وقت تک اِن پر مُہر لگی رہے گی۔

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

بہتوں کو آزما کر پاک صاف اور خالص کیا جائے گا۔ لیکن بےدین بےدین ہی رہیں گے۔ کوئی بھی بےدین یہ نہیں سمجھے گا، لیکن سمجھ داروں کو سمجھ آئے گی۔

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

جس وقت سے روزانہ کی قربانی کا انتظام بند کیا جائے گا اور تباہی کے مکروہ بُت کو مقدِس میں کھڑا کیا جائے گا اُس وقت سے 1,290 دن گزریں گے۔

Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

جو صبر کر کے 1,335 دنوں کے اختتام تک قائم رہ سکے وہ مبارک ہے!

But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

جہاں تک تیرا تعلق ہے، آخری وقت کی طرف بڑھتا چلا جا! تُو آرام کرے گا اور پھر دنوں کے اختتام پر جی اُٹھ کر اپنی میراث پائے گا۔“
