I John 2

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

میرے بچو، مَیں آپ کو یہ اِس لئے لکھ رہا ہوں کہ آپ گناہ نہ کریں۔ لیکن اگر کوئی گناہ کرے تو ایک ہے جو خدا باپ کے سامنے ہماری شفاعت کرتا ہے، عیسیٰ مسیح جو راست ہے۔

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

وہی ہمارے گناہوں کا کفارہ دینے والی قربانی ہے، اور نہ صرف ہمارے گناہوں کا بلکہ پوری دنیا کے گناہوں کا بھی۔

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

اِس سے ہمیں پتا چلتا ہے کہ ہم نے اُسے جان لیا ہے، جب ہم اُس کے احکام پر عمل کرتے ہیں۔

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

جو کہتا ہے، ”مَیں اُسے جانتا ہوں“ لیکن اُس کے احکام پر عمل نہیں کرتا وہ جھوٹا ہے اور سچائی اُس میں نہیں ہے۔

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

لیکن جو اُس کے کلام کی پیروی کرتا ہے اُس میں اللہ کی محبت حقیقتاً تکمیل تک پہنچ گئی ہے۔ اِس سے ہمیں پتا چلتا ہے کہ ہم اُس میں ہیں۔

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

جو کہتا ہے کہ وہ اُس میں قائم ہے اُس کے لئے لازم ہے کہ وہ یوں چلے جس طرح عیسیٰ چلتا تھا۔

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

عزیزو، مَیں آپ کو کوئی نیا حکم نہیں لکھ رہا، بلکہ وہی پرانا حکم جو آپ کو شروع سے ملا ہے۔ یہ پرانا حکم وہی پیغام ہے جو آپ نے سن لیا ہے۔

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

لیکن دوسری طرف سے یہ حکم نیا بھی ہے، اور اِس کی سچائی مسیح اور آپ میں ظاہر ہوئی ہے۔ کیونکہ تاریکی ختم ہونے والی ہے اور حقیقی روشنی چمکنے لگ گئی ہے۔

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

جو نور میں ہونے کا دعویٰ کر کے اپنے بھائی سے نفرت کرتا ہے وہ اب تک تاریکی میں ہے۔

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

جو اپنے بھائی سے محبت رکھتا ہے وہ نور میں رہتا ہے اور اُس میں کوئی بھی چیز نہیں پائی جاتی جو ٹھوکر کا باعث بن سکے۔

But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

لیکن جو اپنے بھائی سے نفرت کرتا ہے وہ تاریکی ہی میں ہے اور اندھیرے میں چلتا پھرتا ہے۔ اُس کو یہ نہیں معلوم کہ وہ کہاں جا رہا ہے، کیونکہ تاریکی نے اُسے اندھا کر رکھا ہے۔

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

پیارے بچو، مَیں آپ کو اِس لئے لکھ رہا ہوں کہ آپ کے گناہوں کو اُس کے نام کی خاطر معاف کر دیا گیا ہے۔

I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

والدو، مَیں آپ کو اِس لئے لکھ رہا ہوں کہ آپ نے اُسے جان لیا ہے جو ابتدا ہی سے ہے۔ جوان مردو، مَیں آپ کو اِس لئے لکھ رہا ہوں کہ آپ ابلیس پر غالب آ گئے ہیں۔ بچو، مَیں آپ کو اِس لئے لکھ رہا ہوں کہ آپ نے باپ کو جان لیا ہے۔

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

والدو، مَیں آپ کو اِس لئے لکھ رہا ہوں کہ آپ نے اُسے جان لیا ہے جو ابتدا ہی سے ہے۔ جوان مردو، مَیں آپ کو اِس لئے لکھ رہا ہوں کہ آپ مضبوط ہیں۔ اللہ کا کلام آپ میں بستا ہے اور آپ ابلیس پر غالب آ گئے ہیں۔

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

دنیا کو پیار مت کرنا، نہ کسی چیز کو جو دنیا میں ہے۔ اگر کوئی دنیا کو پیار کرے تو خدا باپ کی محبت اُس میں نہیں ہے۔

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

کیونکہ جو بھی چیز دنیا میں ہے وہ باپ کی طرف سے نہیں بلکہ دنیا کی طرف سے ہے، خواہ وہ جسم کی بُری خواہشات، آنکھوں کا لالچ یا اپنی ملکیت پر فخر ہو۔

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

دنیا اور اُس کی وہ چیزیں جو انسان چاہتا ہے ختم ہو رہی ہیں، لیکن جو اللہ کی مرضی پوری کرتا ہے وہ ابد تک جیتا رہے گا۔

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

بچو، اب آخری گھڑی آ پہنچی ہے۔ آپ نے خود سن لیا ہے کہ مخالفِ مسیح آ رہا ہے، اور حقیقتاً بہت سے ایسے مخالفِ مسیح آ چکے ہیں۔ اِس سے ہمیں پتا چلتا ہے کہ آخری گھڑی آ گئی ہے۔

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

یہ لوگ ہم میں سے نکلے تو ہیں، لیکن حقیقت میں ہم میں سے نہیں تھے۔ کیونکہ اگر وہ ہم میں سے ہوتے تو وہ ہمارے ساتھ ہی رہتے۔ لیکن ہمیں چھوڑنے سے ظاہر ہوا کہ سب ہم میں سے نہیں ہیں۔

But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

لیکن آپ فرق ہیں۔ آپ کو اُس سے جو قدوس ہے روح کا مسح مل گیا ہے، اور آپ پوری سچائی کو جانتے ہیں۔

I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

مَیں آپ کو اِس لئے نہیں لکھ رہا کہ آپ سچائی کو نہیں جانتے بلکہ اِس لئے کہ آپ سچائی جانتے ہیں اور کہ کوئی بھی جھوٹ سچائی کی طرف سے نہیں آ سکتا۔

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

کون جھوٹا ہے؟ وہ جو عیسیٰ کے مسیح ہونے کا انکار کرتا ہے۔ مخالفِ مسیح ایسا شخص ہے۔ وہ باپ اور فرزند کا انکار کرتا ہے۔

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

جو فرزند کا انکار کرتا ہے اُس کے پاس باپ بھی نہیں ہے، اور جو فرزند کا اقرار کرتا ہے اُس کے پاس باپ بھی ہے۔

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

چنانچہ لازم ہے کہ جو کچھ آپ نے ابتدا سے سنا وہ آپ میں رہے۔ اگر وہ آپ میں رہے تو آپ بھی فرزند اور باپ میں رہیں گے۔

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

اور جو وعدہ اُس نے ہم سے کیا ہے وہ ہے ابدی زندگی۔

These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

مَیں آپ کو یہ اُن کے بارے میں لکھ رہا ہوں جو آپ کو صحیح راہ سے ہٹانے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

لیکن آپ کو اُس سے روح کا مسح مل گیا ہے۔ وہ آپ کے اندر بستا ہے، اِس لئے آپ کو اِس کی ضرورت ہی نہیں کہ کوئی آپ کو تعلیم دے۔ کیونکہ مسیح کا روح آپ کو سب باتوں کے بارے میں تعلیم دیتا ہے اور جو کچھ بھی وہ سکھاتا ہے وہ سچ ہے، جھوٹ نہیں۔ چنانچہ جس طرح اُس نے آپ کو تعلیم دی ہے، اُسی طرح مسیح میں رہیں۔

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

اور اب پیارے بچو، اُس میں قائم رہیں تاکہ اُس کے ظاہر ہونے پر ہم پورے اعتماد کے ساتھ اُس کے سامنے کھڑے ہو سکیں اور اُس کی آمد پر شرمندہ نہ ہونا پڑے۔

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

اگر آپ جانتے ہیں کہ مسیح راست باز ہے تو آپ یہ بھی جانتے ہیں کہ جو بھی راست کام کرتا ہے وہ اللہ سے پیدا ہو کر اُس کا فرزند بن گیا ہے۔
