Romans 15

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

İmanı güçlü olan bizler, kendimizi hoşnut etmeye değil, güçsüzlerin zayıflıklarını yüklenmeye borçluyuz.

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Her birimiz komşusunu ruhça geliştirmek için komşusunun iyiliğini gözeterek onu hoşnut etsin.

For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

[] Çünkü Mesih bile kendini hoşnut etmeye çalışmadı. Yazılmış olduğu gibi: “Sana edilen hakaretlere ben uğradım.”

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Önceden ne yazıldıysa, bize öğretmek için, sabırla ve Kutsal Yazılar’ın verdiği cesaretle umudumuz olsun diye yazıldı.

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

Sabır ve cesaret kaynağı olan Tanrı’nın, sizleri Mesih İsa’nın isteğine uygun olarak aynı düşüncede birleştirmesini dilerim.

That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Öyle ki, Rabbimiz İsa Mesih’in Tanrısı’nı ve Babası’nı birlik içinde hep bir ağızdan yüceltesiniz.

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Bu nedenle, Mesih sizi kabul ettiği gibi, Tanrı’nın yüceliği için birbirinizi kabul edin.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

[] Çünkü diyorum ki Mesih, Tanrı’nın güvenilir olduğunu göstermek için Yahudiler’in hizmetkârı oldu. Öyle ki, atalarımıza verilen sözler doğrulansın ve öteki uluslar merhameti için Tanrı’yı yüceltsin. Yazılmış olduğu gibi: “Bunun için uluslar arasında sana şükredeceğim, Adını ilahilerle öveceğim.”

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

[] Çünkü diyorum ki Mesih, Tanrı’nın güvenilir olduğunu göstermek için Yahudiler’in hizmetkârı oldu. Öyle ki, atalarımıza verilen sözler doğrulansın ve öteki uluslar merhameti için Tanrı’yı yüceltsin. Yazılmış olduğu gibi: “Bunun için uluslar arasında sana şükredeceğim, Adını ilahilerle öveceğim.”

And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

[] Yine deniyor ki, “Ey uluslar, O’nun halkıyla birlikte sevinin!” Ve, “Ey bütün uluslar, Rab’be övgüler sunun! Ey bütün halklar, O’nu yüceltin!”

And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

[] Yine deniyor ki, “Ey uluslar, O’nun halkıyla birlikte sevinin!” Ve, “Ey bütün uluslar, Rab’be övgüler sunun! Ey bütün halklar, O’nu yüceltin!”

And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

[] Yeşaya da şöyle diyor: “İşay’ın Kökü ortaya çıkacak, Uluslara egemen olmak üzere yükselecek. Uluslar O’na umut bağlayacak.”

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Umut kaynağı olan Tanrı, Kutsal Ruh’un gücüyle umutla dolup taşmanız için iman yaşamınızda sizleri tam bir sevinç ve esenlikle doldursun.

And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Size gelince, kardeşlerim, iyilikle dolu, her bilgiyle donanmış olduğunuzdan ben eminim. Ayrıca, birbirinize öğüt verebilecek durumdasınız.

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

Yine de Tanrı’nın bana bağışladığı lütufla bazı noktaları yeniden anımsatmak için size yazma cesaretini gösterdim.

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Ben Tanrı’nın lütfuyla uluslar yararına Mesih İsa’nın hizmetkârı oldum. Tanrı’nın Müjdesi’ni bir kâhin olarak yaymaktayım. Öyle ki uluslar, Kutsal Ruh’la kutsal kılınarak Tanrı’yı hoşnut eden bir sunu olsun.

I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.

Bunun için Mesih İsa’ya ait biri olarak Tanrı’ya verdiğim hizmetle övünebilirim.

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

Ulusların söz dinlemesi için Mesih’in benim aracılığımla, sözle ve eylemle, mucizeler ve harikalar yaratan güçle, Kutsal Ruh’un gücüyle yaptıklarından başka şeyden söz etmeye cesaret edemem. Yeruşalim’den başlayıp İllirikum bölgesine kadar dolaşarak Mesih’in Müjdesi’ni eksiksiz duyurdum.

Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Ulusların söz dinlemesi için Mesih’in benim aracılığımla, sözle ve eylemle, mucizeler ve harikalar yaratan güçle, Kutsal Ruh’un gücüyle yaptıklarından başka şeyden söz etmeye cesaret edemem. Yeruşalim’den başlayıp İllirikum bölgesine kadar dolaşarak Mesih’in Müjdesi’ni eksiksiz duyurdum.

Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

Bir başkasının attığı temel üzerine inşa etmemek için Müjde’yi Mesih’in adının duyulmadığı yerlerde yaymayı amaç edindim.

But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

[] Yazılmış olduğu gibi: “O’ndan habersiz olanlar görecekler. Duymamış olanlar anlayacaklar.”

For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.

[] İşte bu yüzden yanınıza gelmem kaç kez engellendi.

But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;

Şimdiyse bu yörelerde artık yapacağım bir şey kalmadığından, yıllardır da yanınıza gelmeyi arzuladığımdan, İspanya’ya giderken size uğrarım. Yol üzerinde sizi görüp bir süre arkadaşlığınıza doyduktan sonra beni oraya uğurlayacağınızı umarım.

Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

Şimdiyse bu yörelerde artık yapacağım bir şey kalmadığından, yıllardır da yanınıza gelmeyi arzuladığımdan, İspanya’ya giderken size uğrarım. Yol üzerinde sizi görüp bir süre arkadaşlığınıza doyduktan sonra beni oraya uğurlayacağınızı umarım.

But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

[] Ama şimdi kutsallara bir hizmet için Yeruşalim’e gidiyorum.

For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

Çünkü Makedonya ve Ahaya’da bulunanlar, Yeruşalim’deki kutsallar arasında yoksul olanlar için yardım toplamayı uygun gördüler.

It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

[] Evet, uygun gördüler. Gerçekte onlara yardım borçlular. Uluslar, onların ruhsal bereketlerine ortak olduklarına göre, maddesel bereketlerle onlara hizmet etmeye borçlular.

When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

Bu işi bitirip sağlanan yardımı onlara ulaştırdıktan sonra size uğrayacağım, sonra da İspanya’ya gideceğim.

And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

Yanınıza geldiğimde, Mesih’in bereketinin doluluğuyla geleceğimi biliyorum.

Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

Kardeşler, Rabbimiz İsa Mesih ve Ruh’un sevgisi adına size yalvarıyorum, benim için Tanrı’ya dua ederek uğraşıma katılın.

That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;

Yahudiye’deki imansızlardan kurtulmam için ve Yeruşalim’e olan hizmetimin kutsallarca kabul edilmesi için dua edin.

That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

Öyle ki, Tanrı’nın isteğiyle sevinçle yanınıza gelip sizlerle gönlümü ferahlatayım.

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
