II Thessalonians 2

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

A prosimy was, bracia! przez przyjście Pana naszego Jezusa Chrystusa i nasze zgromadzenie do niego,

That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Abyście się nie zaraz dali zrażać z zmysłu waszego, ani sobą trwożyć, lub przez ducha lub przez mowę, lub przez list, jakoby od nas pisany, jakoby nadchodził dzień Chrystusowy.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Niech was nikt nie zwodzi żadnym sposobem; albowiem nie przyjdzie on dzień, ażby pierwej przyszło odstąpienie i byłby objawiony człowiek on grzechu, on syn zatracenia.

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Który się sprzeciwia i wynosi nad to wszystko, co się zowie Bogiem, albo co ma Boską cześć, tak iż on w kościele Bożym jako Bóg usiądzie, udawając się za Boga.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

Izali nie pamiętacie, iż jeszcze z wami będąc, o temem wam powiadał?

And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

A teraz wiecie, co przeszkadza, aby był objawiony czasu swego.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Albowiem się już sprawuje tajemnica nieprawości, tylko że ten, który teraz przeszkadza, przeszkadzać będzie, ażby był z pośrodku odjęty.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

A tedy objawiony będzie on niezbożnik, którego Pan zabije duchem ust swoich i zniesie objawieniem przyjścia swego.

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Którego niezbożnika przyjście jest podług skutku szatańskiego, ze wszelką mocą i znakami, i cudami kłamliwemi,

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

I ze wszystkiem oszukaniem nieprawości w tych, którzy giną, przeto iż miłości prawdy nie przyjęli, aby byli zbawieni.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

A przetoż pośle im Bóg skutek błędów, aby wierzyli kłamstwu,

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Aby byli osądzeni wszyscy, którzy nie uwierzyli prawdzie, ale sobie upodobali niesprawiedliwość.

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Lecz my powinniśmy Bogu dziękować zawsze za was, bracia umiłowani od Pana! iż was Bóg od początku wybrał ku zbawieniu w poświęceniu Ducha i w wierze prawdy,

Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Do czego was powołał przez Ewangieliję naszę ku dostąpieniu chwały Pana naszego, Jezusa Chrystusa.

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Przetoż, bracia! stójcie, a trzymajcie się nauki podanej, którejście się nauczyli lub przez mowę, lub przez list nasz.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

A sam Pan nasz, Jezus Chrystus i Bóg a Ojciec nasz, który nas umiłował i dał pociechę wieczną, i nadzieję dobrą przez łaskę,

Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Niech cieszy serca wasze i utwierdza was w każdej mowie i w uczynku dobrym.
