Psalms 96

O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

Veisatkaat Herralle uusi veisu: veisatkaat Herralle, kaikki maa!

Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Veisatkaat Herralle, ja kiittäkäät hänen nimeänsä: julistakaat päivä päivältä hänen autuuttansa.

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

Luetelkaat pakanain seassa hänen kunniaansa, kaikkein kansain seassa hänen ihmeitänsä!

For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

Sillä Herra on suuri ja sangen kiitettävä, ihmeellinen kaikkein jumalain seassa.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Sillä kaikki kansain jumalat ovat epäjumalat; mutta Herra on taivaat tehnyt.

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Kunnia ja kaunistus ovat hänen edessänsä, väkevyys ja kauneus hänen pyhässänsä.

Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Kansain sukukunnat, tuokaat Herralle, tuokaat Herralle kunnia ja voima!

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

Tuokaat Herralle hänen nimensä kunnia: tuokaat lahjoja ja tulkaat hänen esihuoneisiinsa!

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Kumartakaat Herraa pyhässä kaunistuksessa: peljätkään häntä kaikki maailma!

Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Sanokaat pakanain seassa: Herra on kuningas, joka maan piirin on vahvistanut, ettei se liiku, ja tuomitsee kansan oikeudella.

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

Taivaat riemuitkaan, ja maa iloitkaan: meri pauhatkaan ja mitä siinä on.

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

Kedot olkaan iloiset, ja kaikki mitkä hänessä ovat, ja kaikki puut ihastukaan metsissä,

Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Herran edessä; sillä hän tulee, hän tulee tuomitsemaan maata. Hän tuomitsee maan piirin vanhurskaudessa ja kansat totuudessansa.
