Psalms 148

Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

Halleluja! Kiittäkäät Herraa taivaissa, kiittäkäät häntä korkeudessa.

Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

Kiittäkäät häntä kaikki hänen enkelinsä: kiittäkäät häntä kaikki hänen sotaväkensä.

Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

Kiittäkäät häntä aurinko ja kuu: kiittäkäät häntä kaikki kirkkaat tähdet.

Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

Kiittäkäät häntä, te taivasten taivaat, ja vedet, jotka taivasten päällä ovat.

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

Heidän pitää Herran nimeä kiittämän; sillä hän käski, ja ne luoduksi tulivat.

He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

Hän pitää ylös ne aina ja ijankaikkisesti: hän asettaa heitä, ettei heidän toisin käymän pitäisi.

Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

Kiittäkäät Herraa maan päällä, te valaskalat ja kaikki syvyydet;

Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

Tuli ja rakeet, lumi ja sumu, tuulispää, jotka hänen sanansa toimittavat,

Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

Vuoret ja kaikki kukkulat, hedelmälliset puut ja kaikki sedripuut;

Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

Pedot ja kaikki eläimet, madot ja siivelliset linnut;

Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

Maan kuninkaat ja kaikki kansat, päämiehet ja kaikki tuomarit maan päällä;

Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

Nuorukaiset ja neitseet, vanhat nuorten kanssa:

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

Kiittäkään Herran nimeä; sillä hänen ainoan nimensä on korotettu, ja hänen suuri kunniansa ylitse maan ja taivaan.

He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

Ja hän korottaa sarven kansallensa: kaikki hänen pyhänsä kiittäkäät, Israelin lapset, kansa joka häntä lähin on, Halleluja!
