Psalms 7

O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

ای خداوند، خدای من! به تو پناه می‌آورم. مرا از دست تعقیب‌کنندگانم برهان.

Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

وگرنه آنها مانند شیری مرا خواهند درید و تکه‌تکه خواهند کرد، و کسی به داد من نخواهد رسید.

O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

ای خداوند، خدای من! اگر گناهی از من سر زده، یا به کسی ظلمی کرده باشم،

If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)

یا به دوستان خیانت، و یا بدون سبب مال دشمنانم را غارت کرده باشم،

Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

آنگاه بگذار دشمنانم مرا دستگیر کنند و بر زمین پایمالم کرده و با خاک یکسانم نمایند.

Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.

ای خداوند، برخیز و با غضب خود در مقابل خشم دشمنانم بایست. ای خدا، بیدار شو و عدالت را اجرا نما.

So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

همهٔ مردم را به پیشگاهت جمع کن و از بارگاه ملکوتی‌ات بر آنها داوری فرما.

The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

تو ای خداوند داور همهٔ مردم هستی، مرا نیز ای خداوند، مطابق عدالت و راستی‌ای که در من است داوری نما.

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

ای خدای عادل که از افکار و نیّت دلهای همهٔ مردم آگاهی، شرارت و بدی را از بین ببر و عدالت و راستی را به جای آن برقرار ساز.

My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

خدا نگهبان من است و راست‌دلان را نجات می‌دهد.

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

خداوند داور عادل است و همیشه شریران را محکوم می‌کند.

If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

اگر کسی از گناه خود توبه نکند، خداوند برای هلاکت او شمشیر خود را تیز و کمان خود را آماده می‌نماید.

He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

سلاح کشندهٔ او آماده و تیرهای آتشین او در کمان است.

Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

نگاه کنید که اشخاص بدکار چگونه به شرارت فکر می‌کنند، آنها نقشهٔ شریرانه می‌کشند و با نیرنگ عمل می‌کنند.

He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

برای دیگران چاه می‌کنند، امّا خودشان در آن می‌افتند.

His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

پس به‌خاطر شرارتشان مجازات می‌شوند و ظلم آنها دامنگیر خودشان می‌گردد.

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

خداوند را به‌خاطر عدالتش شکر می‌کنم؛ و نام خداوند متعال را می‌سرایم.
