Isaiah 8

Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Maher–shalal–hash–baz.

И ГОСПОД ми каза: Вземи си една голяма дъска и напиши на нея четливо: За Махер-Шалал-Хаш-Баз.

And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.

И аз си взех верни свидетели, свещеника Урия и Захария, сина на Еверехия.

And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Maher–shalal–hash–baz.

И се приближих при пророчицата и тя забременя и роди син. И ГОСПОД ми каза: Наречи го Махер-Шалал-Хаш-Баз;

For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

защото преди да се научи момчето да вика: Татко мой! — и: Майко моя! — богатството на Дамаск и плячката на Самария ще бъдат занесени пред асирийския цар.

The LORD spake also unto me again, saying,

И ГОСПОД продължи да ми говори и каза:

Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;

Понеже този народ презря тихо течащите води на Силоам и се радва на Расин и на сина на Ромелия,

Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

затова, ето, ГОСПОД довежда върху тях силните и големи води на реката Ефрат, асирийския цар и цялата му слава. И той ще излезе от всичките си корита и ще прелее над всичките си брегове.

And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

Ще нахлуе в Юда, ще залее и ще наводни, ще стигне до гуша, и разперените му криле ще изпълнят ширината на земята ти, Емануиле.

Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.

Съюзете се народи, бъдете съкрушени! И чуйте всички от далечините на земята! Опашете се и бъдете съкрушени! Опашете се и бъдете съкрушени!

Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

Кройте план, но той ще се осуети; говорете дума, но тя няма да стане, защото Бог е с нас.

For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

Защото така ми говори ГОСПОД, като ръката Му ме сграбчи, като ме научи да не ходя в пътя на този народ и каза:

Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.

Не наричайте заговор всичко, което този народ нарича заговор; и от това, от което те се боят, не се бойте и не треперете.

Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

ГОСПОДА на Войнствата — Него осветете, от Него се бойте и от Него треперете.

And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

И Той ще бъде за светилище, но и за камък на препъване и за канара на съблазън за двата израилеви дома, за мрежа и за примка на ерусалимските жители.

And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

И мнозина от тях ще се спънат, ще паднат и ще бъдат съкрушени, ще се впримчат и ще бъдат уловени.

Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Вържи свидетелството, запечатай закона между учениците Ми.

And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

И аз ще чакам ГОСПОДА, който крие лицето Си от якововия дом, и на Него ще се надявам.

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Ето, аз и децата, които ми е дал ГОСПОД за знамения и за чудеса в Израил от ГОСПОДА на Войнствата, който обитава на хълма Сион.

And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

И когато ви кажат: Допитвайте се до медиумите и до спиритистите, които шепнат и мърморят, отговорете: Не трябва ли един народ да се допита до своя Бог? Да се допита ли до мъртвите за живите?

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Да се върнат при закона и свидетелството! Ако не говорят според това слово, наистина няма за тях зазоряване.

And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

И ще минат през тази земя тежко притискани и изгладнели; и когато огладнеят, ще негодуват и ще злословят царя си и Бога си. И ще погледнат нагоре,

And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.

после ще се взрат в земята, и ето, скръб и тъмнина, и мъчителен мрак, и ще бъдат отхвърлени във тъмнината.
