Isaiah 9

Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.

Но няма да остане мрак на измъчената земя, както в предишните времена, когато унижи земята Завулон и земята Нефталим; в последните времена ще направи славен пътя на морето, отвъд Йордан, Галилея езическа.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

Народът, който ходи в тъмнина, видя голяма светлина; над онези, които живееха в земя на смъртна сянка, осия светлина.

Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

Умножил си народа, увеличил си радостта му; радват се пред Теб, както се радват при жетва, както се радват, когато делят плячка.

For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.

Защото Ти си строшил тежкия им ярем, тоягата на плещите им, бича на угнетителя им, както в деня на Мадиам.

For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

Защото всяко оръжие на воюващия в битката, и облеклото, оваляно в кръв, ще бъдат за изгаряне, за храна на огъня.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Защото ни се роди Дете, Син ни се даде; и управлението ще бъде на рамото Му; и Името Му ще се нарече: Чудесен, Съветник, Бог могъщ, Отец на вечността, Княз на мира.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Разширяващата се власт и мирът няма да имат край на престола на Давид и над неговото царство, за да го утвърди и поддържа чрез правосъдие и чрез правда, отсега и до века. Ревността на ГОСПОДА на Войнствата ще извърши това.

The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

Господ изпрати слово на Яков и то връхлетя върху Израил.

And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,

И целият народ ще го познае — Ефрем и жителите на Самария, които гордо и с надменно сърце казват:

The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.

Кирпичите паднаха, но ще съградим с дялани камъни; черниците бяха изсечени, но ще ги заменим с кедри.

Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;

Затова ГОСПОД ще издигне срещу него противниците на Расин и ще подбуди неприятелите му —

The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Арам отпред и филистимците отзад. И те ще поядат Израил с цяла уста. При всичко това гневът Му не се отвърна и ръката Му е още простряна.

For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.

Но народът не се връща към Този, които го поразява, и не търси ГОСПОДА на Войнствата.

Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.

Затова ГОСПОД ще отсече от Израил глава и опашка, палмов клон и тръстика в един ден.

The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

Старецът и високопоставеният — той е главата; а пророкът, който поучава лъжа — той е опашка.

For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.

Защото водачите на този народ го заблуждават, и водените от тях биват погълнати.

Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Затова Господ няма да се зарадва на юношите им и няма да се смили за сирачетата и вдовиците им — понеже всичките са лицемери и злодеи, и всяка уста говори безумие. При всичко това гневът Му не се отвърна и ръката Му е още простряна.

For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.

Защото беззаконието изгаря като огън, който пояжда тръни и бодили и пламти в горските гъсталаци и те се издигат като стълб от дим.

Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.

От яростта на ГОСПОДА на Войнствата земята се запали и народът стана като храна за огън. Никой не щади брат си —

And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:

граби отдясно, но гладува, яде наляво, но не се насища! Всеки ще яде плътта на ръката си:

Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Манасия — Ефрем и Ефрем — Манасия, и те заедно ще бъдат против Юда. При всичко това гневът Му не се отвърна и ръката Му е още простряна.
