Psalms 96

Cantate all’Eterno un cantico nuovo, cantate all’Eterno, abitanti di tutta la terra!

O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

Cantate all’Eterno, benedite il suo nome, annunziate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza!

Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Raccontate la sua gloria fra le nazioni e le sue maraviglie fra tutti i popoli!

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

Perché l’Eterno è grande e degno di sovrana lode; egli è tremendo sopra tutti gli dèi.

For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

Poiché tutti gli dèi dei popoli son idoli vani, ma l’Eterno ha fatto i cieli.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Splendore e maestà stanno dinanzi a lui, forza e bellezza stanno nel suo santuario.

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Date all’Eterno, o famiglie dei popoli, date all’Eterno gloria e forza.

Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Date all’Eterno la gloria dovuta al suo nome, portategli offerte e venite ne’ suoi cortili.

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

Prostratevi dinanzi all’Eterno vestiti di sacri ornamenti, tremate dinanzi a lui, o abitanti di tutta la terra!

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Dite fra le nazioni: l’Eterno regna; il mondo quindi è stabile e non sarà smosso; l’Eterno giudicherà i popoli con rettitudine.

Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Si rallegrino i cieli e gioisca la terra; risuoni il mare e quel ch’esso contiene;

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

festeggi la campagna e tutto quello ch’è in essa; tutti gli alberi delle foreste dian voci di gioia

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

nel cospetto dell’Eterno; poich’egli viene, viene a giudicare la terra. Egli giudicherà il mondo con giustizia, e i popoli secondo la sua fedeltà.

Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
