Job 18

फिर शूही प्रदेश के बिल्दद ने उत्तर देते हूए कहा:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

“अय्यूब, इस तरह की बातें करना तू कब छोड़ेगा तुझे चुप होना चाहिये और फिर सुनना चाहिये। तब हम बातें कर सकते हैं।

How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

तू क्यों यह सोचता हैं कि हम उतने मूर्ख हैं जितनी मूर्ख गायें।

Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?

अय्यूब, तू अपने क्रोध से अपनी ही हानि कर रहा है। क्या लोग धरती बस तेरे लिये छोड़ दे? क्या तू यह सोचता है कि बस तुझे तृप्त करने को परमेश्वर धरती को हिला देगा?

He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?

“हाँ, बुरे जन का प्रकाश बुझेगा और उसकी आग जलना छोड़ेगी।

Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

उस के तम्बू का प्रकाश काला पड़ जायेगा और जो दीपक उसके पास है वह बुझ जायेगा।

The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

उस मनुष्य के कदम फिर कभी मजबूत और तेज नहीं होंगे। किन्तु वह धीरे चलेगा और दुर्बल हो जायेगा। अपने ही कुचक्रों से उसका पतन होगा।

The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

उसके अपने ही कदम उसे एक जाल के फन्दे में गिरा देंगे। वह चल कर जाल में जायेगा और फंस जायेगा।

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

कोई जाल उसकी एड़ी को पकड़ लेगा। एक जाल उसको कसकर जकड़ लेगा।

The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

एक रस्सा उसके लिये धरती में छिपा होगा। कोई जाल राह में उसकी प्रतीक्षा में है।

The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

उसके तरफ आतंक उसकी टोह में हैं। उसके हर कदम का भय पीछा करता रहेगा।

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

भयानक विपत्तियाँ उसके लिये भूखी हैं। जब वह गिरेगा, विनाश और विध्वंस उसके लिये तत्पर रहेंगे।

His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

महाव्याधि उसके चर्म के भागों को निगल जायेगी। वह उसकी बाहों और उसकी टाँगों को सड़ा देगी।

It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.

अपने घर की सुरक्षा से दुर्जन को दूर किया जायेगा और आतंक के राजा से मिलाने के लिये उसको चलाकर ले जाया जायेगा।

His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

उसके घर में कुछ भी न बचेगा क्योंकि उसके समूचे घर में धधकती हुई गन्धक बिखेरी जायेगी।

It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

नीचे गई जड़ें उसकी सूख जायेंगी और उसके ऊपर की शाखाएं मुरझा जायेंगी।

His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

धरती के लोग उसको याद नहीं करेंगे। बस अब कोई भी उसको याद नहीं करेगा।

His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

प्रकाश से उसको हटा दिया जायेगा और वह अंधकार में धकेला जायेगा। वे उसको दुनियां से दूर भाग देंगे।

He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

उसकी कोई सन्तान नहीं होगी अथवा उसके लोगों के कोई वंशज नहीं होंगे। उसके घर में कोई भी जीवित नहीं बचेगा।

He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

पश्चिम के लोग सहमें रह जायेंगे जब वे सुनेंगे कि उस दुर्जन के साथ क्या घटी। लोग पूर्व के आतंकित हो सुन्न रह जायेंगे।

They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.

सचमुच दुर्जन के घर के साथ ऐसा ही घटेगा। ऐसी ही घटेगा उस व्यक्ति के साथ जो परमेश्वर की परवाह नहीं करते।”

Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
