Psalms 96

Chantez à l'Eternel un cantique nouveau! Chantez à l'Eternel, vous tous, habitants de la terre!

O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

Chantez à l'Eternel, bénissez son nom, Annoncez de jour en jour son salut!

Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Racontez parmi les nations sa gloire, Parmi tous les peuples ses merveilles!

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

Car l'Eternel est grand et très digne de louange, Il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux;

For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

Car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles, Et l'Eternel a fait les cieux.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

La splendeur et la magnificence sont devant sa face, La gloire et la majesté sont dans son sanctuaire.

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Familles des peuples, rendez à l'Eternel, Rendez à l'Eternel gloire et honneur!

Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Rendez à l'Eternel gloire pour son nom! Apportez des offrandes, et entrez dans ses parvis!

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

Prosternez-vous devant l'Eternel avec des ornements sacrés. Tremblez devant lui, vous tous, habitants de la terre!

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Dites parmi les nations: L'Eternel règne; Aussi le monde est ferme, il ne chancelle pas; L'Eternel juge les peuples avec droiture.

Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre soit dans l'allégresse, Que la mer retentisse avec tout ce qu'elle contient,

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

Que la campagne s'égaie avec tout ce qu'elle renferme, Que tous les arbres des forêts poussent des cris de joie,

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

Devant l'Eternel! Car il vient, Car il vient pour juger la terre; Il jugera le monde avec justice, Et les peuples selon sa fidélité.

Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
