Psalms 132

خداوندا، داوود و زحمتهایی را که متحمّل شد فراموش مکن.

LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

به یادآور که قسم خورد و برای تو ای خدای یعقوب نذر کرد:

How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

«من تا خانه‌ای برای خداوند بنا نکنم، به خانهٔ خود نخواهم رفت و استراحت نخواهم كرد و نخواهم خوابید.»

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

«من تا خانه‌ای برای خداوند بنا نکنم، به خانهٔ خود نخواهم رفت و استراحت نخواهم كرد و نخواهم خوابید.»

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

«من تا خانه‌ای برای خداوند بنا نکنم، به خانهٔ خود نخواهم رفت و استراحت نخواهم كرد و نخواهم خوابید.»

Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

در بیت‌لحم، از وجود صندوق پیمان باخبر شدیم و در شهر یعاریم آن را یافتیم.

Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

بیایید به خانهٔ خداوند برویم و در برابر تختش او را پرستش کنیم.

We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

خداوندا، با صندوق پیمان که نشانهٔ قدرت توست به معبد بزرگ خود بیا و برای همیشه در آنجا ساکن شو.

Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

کاهنانت لباس عدالت بپوشند و مؤمنین تو با شادی برایت سرود بخوانند!

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

به‌خاطر بنده‌ات داوود، روی خود را از پادشاه برگزیده‌ات بر مگردان.

For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

تو به داوود وعده دادی و از وعدهٔ خود بر نمی‌گردی: «یکی از فرزندان او را پادشاه می‌سازم. و او بعد از تو سلطنت خواهد کرد

The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

اگر فرزندان تو نیز به پیمان و احکام من وفادار بمانند، فرزندان آنها نیز تا به ابد بر تخت سلطنت تو خواهند نشست.»

If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

خداوند صهیون را برای سکونت خود برگزید

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

و فرمود: «در اینجا برای همیشه سکونت خواهم کرد زیرا چنین اراده نموده‌ام.

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

تمام احتیاجات صهیون را به فراوانی برآورده خواهم ساخت و بینوایان آن را با غذا سیر خواهم كرد.

I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

کاهنانش را لباس رستگاری خواهم پوشانید و مؤمنیش با شادی سرود خواهند خواند.

I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

در اینجا، داوود را به قدرت خواهم رسانید و چراغی برای برگزیدهٔ خود روشن خواهم کرد.

There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

دشمنانش را با لباس خجالت خواهم پوشانید، امّا سلطنت او کامیاب و شکوفا خواهد شد.»

His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
