Psalms 63

Псалом Давидів, коли був він у пустині юдейській.

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Боже Ти Бог мій, я шукаю від рання Тебе, душа моя прагне до Тебе, тужить тіло моє за Тобою в країні пустельній і вимученій без води...

To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Я так приглядався до Тебе в святині, щоб бачити силу Твою й Твою славу,

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

ліпша бо милість Твоя над життя, й мої уста Тебе прославляють!

Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Так я буду в житті своїм благословляти Тебе, ради Ймення Твого буду руки свої підіймати!

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

Насичується, ніби лоєм і товщем, душа моя, а уста мої хвалять губами співними.

When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Як згадаю Тебе на постелі своїй, розмишляю про Тебе в сторожах нічних:

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

що став Ти на поміч для мене, в тіні ж Твоїх крил я співатиму!

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

Пригорнулась до Тебе душа моя, правиця Твоя підпирає мене.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

Вороги ж мою душу шукають для згуби, нехай западуться до споду землі,

They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

нехай помордовані будуть мечем, бодай стали шакалам поживою! А цар звеселиться у Бозі, буде хвалений кожен, хто йому присягає, будуть бо замкнені уста лжемовцям!

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
