II Kings 25

În al nouălea an al domniei lui Zedechia, în a zecea zi a lunii a zecea, Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului, a venit cu toată oştirea lui împotriva Ierusalimului; a tăbărît înaintea lui, şi a ridicat întărituri de jur împrejur.

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.

Cetatea a fost împresurată pînă la al unsprezecelea an al împăratului Zedechia.

And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

În ziua a noua a lunii a patra, era mare foamete în cetate, şi nu era pîne pentru poporul ţării.

And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.

Atunci s'a făcut o spărtură în cetate; şi toţi oamenii de război au fugit noaptea, pe drumul porţii dintre cele două ziduri de lîngă grădina împăratului, pe cînd Haldeii înconjurau cetatea. Fugarii au apucat pe drumul care duce în cîmpie.

And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.

Dar oştirea Haldeilor a urmărit pe împărat, şi l -a ajuns în cîmpiile Ierihonului, şi toată oştirea lui s'a risipit dela el.

And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.

Au prins pe împărat, şi l-au suit la împăratul Babilonului la Ribla; şi s'a rostit o hotărîre împotriva lui.

So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.

Fiii lui Zedechia au fost junghiaţi în faţa lui; apoi lui Zedechia i-au scos ochii, l-au legat cu lanţuri de aramă, şi l-au dus la Babilon.

And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.

În ziua a şaptea a lunii a cincea, -era în anul al nouăsprezecelea al domniei lui Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului, -a venit Nebuzaradan, căpetenia străjerilor, slujitorul împăratului Babilonului, şi a intrat în Ierusalim.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar–adan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:

A ars Casa Domnului, casa împăratului, şi toate casele Ierusalimului; a pus foc tuturor caselor cari aveau vreo însemnătate oarecare.

And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.

Toată oştirea Haldeilor, care era cu căpetenia străjerilor, a dărîmat zidurile dimprejurul Ierusalimului.

And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.

Nebuzaradan, căpetenia străjerilor, a luat robi pe ceice mai rămăseseră în cetate din popor, pe cei ce fugiseră la împăratul Babilonului, şi pe cealaltă mulţime.

Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard carry away.

Însă căpetenia străjerilor a lăsat ca vieri şi lucrători de pămînt cîţiva din cei mai săraci din ţară.

But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.

Haldeii au sfărîmat stîlpii de aramă din Casa Domnului, temeliile, marea de aramă care era în Casa Domnului, şi au dus arama în Babilon.

And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.

Au luat cenuşarele, lopeţile, mucările, ceştile şi toate uneltele de aramă cu cari se făcea slujba.

And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

Căpetenia străjerilor a mai luat şi tigăile pentru cărbuni şi lighenele, tot ce era de aur şi tot ce era de argint.

And the firepans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

Cei doi stîlpi, marea, şi temeliile, pe cari le făcuse Solomon pentru Casa Domnului, toate uneltele acestea de aramă aveau o greutate necunoscută.

The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

Înălţimea unui stîlp era de optsprezece coţi, şi deasupra avea un coperiş de aramă, a cărui înălţime era de trei coţi; împrejurul coperişului era o împletitură în chip de reţea şi rodii, toate de aramă; tot aşa avea şi al doilea stîlp cu împletitura în chip de reţea.

The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.

Căpetenia străjerilor a luat pe marele preot Seraia, pe Ţefania, al doilea preot, şi pe cei trei păzitori ai pragului.

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

Şi din cetate a luat un dregător care avea supt porunca lui pe oamenii de război, cinci oameni cari făceau parte din sfetnicii împăratului şi cari au fost găsiţi în cetate, pe logofătul căpeteniei oştirii, însărcinat să scrie la oaste pe poporul ţării, şi şasezeci de oameni din poporul ţării, cari se aflau în cetate.

And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:

Nebuzaradan, căpetenia străjerilor, i -a luat, şi i -a dus la împăratul Babilonului la Ribla.

And Nebuzar–adan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:

Împăratul Babilonului i -a lovit şi i -a omorît la Ribla, în ţara Hamatului. Ghedalia, dregător; uciderea lui.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.

Şi Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului, a pus pe poporul care mai rămăsese, şi pe care -l lăsase în ţara lui Iuda, supt porunca lui Ghedalia, fiul lui Ahicam, fiul lui Şafan.

And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.

Cînd au auzit toate căpeteniile oştilor, ei şi oamenii lor, că împăratul Babilonului a pus dregător pe Ghedalia, s'au dus la Ghedalia la Miţpa, şi anume: Ismael, fiul lui Netania, Iohanan, fiul lui Careab, Seraia, fiul lui Tanhumet, din Netofa, şi Iaazania, fiul lui Maacatitul, ei şi oamenii lor.

And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

Ghedalia le -a jurat, lor şi oamenilor lor, şi le -a zis: ,,Să nu vă temeţi de nimic din partea slujitorilor Haldeilor; rămîneţi în ţară, slujiţi împăratului Babilonului, şi veţi duce -o bine.``

And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.

Dar în luna a şaptea, Ismael, fiul lui Netania, fiul lui Elişama, din neamul împărătesc, a venit, însoţit de zece oameni, şi au lovit de moarte pe Ghedalia, ca şi pe Iudeii şi Haldeii cari erau cu el la Miţpa.

But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.

Atunci tot poporul, dela cel mai mic pînă la cel mai mare, şi căpeteniile oştilor, s'au sculat şi au plecat în Egipt, pentru că le era frică de Haldei.

And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.

În al treizeci şi şaptelea an al robiei lui Ioiachin, împăratul lui Iuda, în a douăzeci şi şaptea zi a lunii a douăsprezecea, Evil-Merodac, împăratul Babilonului, în cel dintîi an al domniei lui, a înălţat capul lui Ioiachin, împăratul lui Iuda, şi l -a scos din temniţă,

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil–merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;

i -a vorbit cu bunătate, şi a pus scaunul lui de domnie mai pesus de scaunul de domnie al împăraţilor cari erau cu el la Babilon.

And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;

I -a schimbat hainele de temniţă, şi Ioiachin a mîncat totdeauna la masa lui, în tot timpul vieţii lui.

And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.

Împăratul i -a îngrijit necurmat de hrana de toate zilele, în tot timpul vieţii lui

And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.
