Psalms 76

In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

آسف کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ تاردار سازوں کے ساتھ گانا ہے۔ اللہ یہوداہ میں مشہور ہے، اُس کا نام اسرائیل میں عظیم ہے۔

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

اُس نے اپنی ماند سالم میں اور اپنا بھٹ کوہِ صیون پر بنا لیا ہے۔

There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

وہاں اُس نے جلتے ہوئے تیروں کو توڑ ڈالا اور ڈھال، تلوار اور جنگ کے ہتھیاروں کو چُور چُور کر دیا ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

اے اللہ، تُو درخشاں ہے، تُو شکار کے پہاڑوں سے آیا ہوا عظیم الشان سورما ہے۔

The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

بہادروں کو لُوٹ لیا گیا ہے، وہ موت کی نیند سو گئے ہیں۔ فوجیوں میں سے ایک بھی ہاتھ نہیں اُٹھا سکتا۔

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

اے یعقوب کے خدا، تیرے ڈانٹنے پر گھوڑے اور رتھ بان بےحس و حرکت ہو گئے ہیں۔

Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

تُو ہی مہیب ہے۔ جب تُو جھڑکے تو کون تیرے حضور قائم رہے گا؟

Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

تُو نے آسمان سے فیصلے کا اعلان کیا۔ زمین سہم کر چپ ہو گئی

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

جب اللہ عدالت کرنے کے لئے اُٹھا، جب وہ تمام مصیبت زدوں کو نجات دینے کے لئے آیا۔ (سِلاہ)

Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

کیونکہ انسان کا طیش بھی تیری تمجید کا باعث ہے۔ اُس کے طیش کا آخری نتیجہ تیرا جلال ہی ہے ۔

Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

رب اپنے خدا کے حضور مَنتیں مان کر اُنہیں پورا کرو۔ جتنے بھی اُس کے ارد گرد ہیں وہ پُرجلال خدا کے حضور ہدیئے لائیں۔

He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

وہ حکمرانوں کو شکستہ روح کر دیتا ہے، اُسی سے دنیا کے بادشاہ دہشت کھاتے ہیں۔
