Psalms 75

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

آسف کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ طرز: تباہ نہ کر۔ اے اللہ، تیرا شکر ہو، تیرا شکر! تیرا نام اُن کے قریب ہے جو تیرے معجزے بیان کرتے ہیں۔

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

اللہ فرماتا ہے، ”جب میرا وقت آئے گا تو مَیں انصاف سے عدالت کروں گا۔

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

گو زمین اپنے باشندوں سمیت ڈگمگانے لگے، لیکن مَیں ہی نے اُس کے ستونوں کو مضبوط کر دیا ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

شیخی بازوں سے مَیں نے کہا، ’ڈینگیں مت مارو،‘ اور بےدینوں سے، ’اپنے آپ پر فخر مت کرو ۔

Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

نہ اپنی طاقت پر شیخی مارو ، نہ اکڑ کر کفر بکو‘۔“

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

کیونکہ سرفرازی نہ مشرق سے، نہ مغرب سے اور نہ بیابان سے آتی ہے

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

بلکہ اللہ سے جو منصف ہے۔ وہی ایک کو پست کر دیتا ہے اور دوسرے کو سرفراز۔

For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

کیونکہ رب کے ہاتھ میں جھاگ دار اور مسالے دار مَے کا پیالہ ہے جسے وہ لوگوں کو پلا دیتا ہے۔ یقیناً دنیا کے تمام بےدینوں کو اِسے آخری قطرے تک پینا ہے۔

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

لیکن مَیں ہمیشہ اللہ کے عظیم کام سناؤں گا، ہمیشہ یعقوب کے خدا کی مدح سرائی کروں گا۔

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

اللہ فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں تمام بےدینوں کی کمر توڑ دوں گا جبکہ راست باز سرفراز ہو گا ۔“
