Psalms 58

Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

داؤد کا سنہرا گیت۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ طرز: تباہ نہ کر۔ اے حکمرانو، کیا تم واقعی منصفانہ فیصلہ کرتے، کیا دیانت داری سے آدم زادوں کی عدالت کرتے ہو؟

Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

ہرگز نہیں، تم دل میں بدی کرتے اور ملک میں اپنے ظالم ہاتھوں کے لئے راستہ بناتے ہو۔

The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

بےدین پیدائش سے ہی صحیح راہ سے دُور ہو گئے ہیں، جھوٹ بولنے والے ماں کے پیٹ سے ہی بھٹک گئے ہیں۔

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

وہ سانپ کی طرح زہر اُگلتے ہیں، اُس بہرے ناگ کی طرح جو اپنے کانوں کو بند کر رکھتا ہے

Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

تاکہ نہ جادوگر کی آواز سنے، نہ ماہر سپیرے کے منتر۔

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

اے اللہ، اُن کے منہ کے دانت توڑ ڈال! اے رب، جوان شیرببروں کے جبڑے کو پاش پاش کر!

Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

وہ اُس پانی کی طرح ضائع ہو جائیں جو بہہ کر غائب ہو جاتا ہے۔ اُن کے چلائے ہوئے تیر بےاثر رہیں۔

As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

وہ دھوپ میں گھونگے کی مانند ہوں جو چلتا چلتا پگھل جاتا ہے۔ اُن کا انجام اُس بچے کا سا ہو جو ماں کے پیٹ میں ضائع ہو کر کبھی سورج نہیں دیکھے گا۔

Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

اِس سے پہلے کہ تمہاری دیگیں کانٹےدار ٹہنیوں کی آگ محسوس کریں اللہ اُن سب کو آندھی میں اُڑا کر لے جائے گا۔

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

آخرکار دشمن کو سزا ملے گی۔ یہ دیکھ کر راست باز خوش ہو گا، اور وہ اپنے پاؤں کو بےدینوں کے خون میں دھو لے گا۔

So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

تب لوگ کہیں گے، ”واقعی راست باز کو اجر ملتا ہے، واقعی اللہ ہے جو دنیا میں لوگوں کی عدالت کرتا ہے!“
