Psalms 50

The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

آسف کا زبور۔ رب قادرِ مطلق خدا بول اُٹھا ہے، اُس نے طلوعِ صبح سے لے کر غروبِ آفتاب تک پوری دنیا کو بُلایا ہے۔

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

اللہ کا نور صیون سے چمک اُٹھا ہے، اُس پہاڑ سے جو کامل حُسن کا اظہار ہے۔

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

ہمارا خدا آ رہا ہے، وہ خاموش نہیں رہے گا۔ اُس کے آگے آگے سب کچھ بھسم ہو رہا ہے، اُس کے ارد گرد تیز آندھی چل رہی ہے۔

He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

وہ آسمان و زمین کو آواز دیتا ہے، ”اب مَیں اپنی قوم کی عدالت کروں گا۔

Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

میرے ایمان داروں کو میرے حضور جمع کرو، اُنہیں جنہوں نے قربانیاں پیش کر کے میرے ساتھ عہد باندھا ہے۔“

And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

آسمان اُس کی راستی کا اعلان کریں گے، کیونکہ اللہ خود انصاف کرنے والا ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

”اے میری قوم، سن! مجھے بات کرنے دے۔ اے اسرائیل، مَیں تیرے خلاف گواہی دوں گا۔ مَیں اللہ تیرا خدا ہوں۔

I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

مَیں تجھے تیری ذبح کی قربانیوں کے باعث ملامت نہیں کر رہا۔ تیری بھسم ہونے والی قربانیاں تو مسلسل میرے سامنے ہیں۔

I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

نہ مَیں تیرے گھر سے بَیل لوں گا، نہ تیرے باڑوں سے بکرے۔

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

کیونکہ جنگل کے تمام جاندار میرے ہی ہیں، ہزاروں پہاڑیوں پر بسنے والے جانور میرے ہی ہیں۔

I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

مَیں پہاڑوں کے ہر پرندے کو جانتا ہوں، اور جو بھی میدانوں میں حرکت کرتا ہے وہ میرا ہے۔

If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

اگر مجھے بھوک لگتی تو مَیں تجھے نہ بتاتا، کیونکہ زمین اور جو کچھ اُس پر ہے میرا ہے۔

Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

کیا تُو سمجھتا ہے کہ مَیں سانڈوں کا گوشت کھانا یا بکروں کا خون پینا چاہتا ہوں؟

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

اللہ کو شکرگزاری کی قربانی پیش کر، اور وہ مَنت پوری کر جو تُو نے اللہ تعالیٰ کے حضور مانی ہے۔

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

مصیبت کے دن مجھے پکار۔ تب مَیں تجھے نجات دوں گا اور تُو میری تمجید کرے گا۔“

But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

لیکن بےدین سے اللہ فرماتا ہے، ”میرے احکام سنانے اور میرے عہد کا ذکر کرنے کا تیرا کیا حق ہے؟

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

تُو تو تربیت سے نفرت کرتا اور میرے فرمان کچرے کی طرح اپنے پیچھے پھینک دیتا ہے۔

When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

کسی چور کو دیکھتے ہی تُو اُس کا ساتھ دیتا ہے، تُو زناکاروں سے رفاقت رکھتا ہے۔

Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

تُو اپنے منہ کو بُرے کام کے لئے استعمال کرتا، اپنی زبان کو دھوکا دینے کے لئے تیار رکھتا ہے۔

Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

تُو دوسروں کے پاس بیٹھ کر اپنے بھائی کے خلاف بولتا ہے، اپنی ہی ماں کے بیٹے پر تہمت لگاتا ہے۔

These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

یہ کچھ تُو نے کیا ہے، اور مَیں خاموش رہا۔ تب تُو سمجھا کہ مَیں بالکل تجھ جیسا ہوں۔ لیکن مَیں تجھے ملامت کروں گا، تیرے سامنے ہی معاملہ ترتیب سے سناؤں گا۔

Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

تم جو اللہ کو بھولے ہوئے ہو، بات سمجھ لو، ورنہ مَیں تمہیں پھاڑ ڈالوں گا۔ اُس وقت کوئی نہیں ہو گا جو تمہیں بچائے۔

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

جو شکرگزاری کی قربانی پیش کرے وہ میری تعظیم کرتا ہے۔ جو مصمم ارادے سے ایسی راہ پر چلے اُسے مَیں اللہ کی نجات دکھاؤں گا۔“
