Psalms 45

My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

قورح کی اولاد کا زبور۔ حکمت اور محبت کا گیت۔ طرز: سوسن کے پھول۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ میرے دل سے خوب صورت گیت چھلک رہا ہے، مَیں اُسے بادشاہ کو پیش کروں گا۔ میری زبان ماہر کاتب کے قلم کی مانند ہو!

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

تُو آدمیوں میں سب سے خوب صورت ہے! تیرے ہونٹ شفقت سے مسح کئے ہوئے ہیں، اِس لئے اللہ نے تجھے ابدی برکت دی ہے۔

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

اے سورمے، اپنی تلوار سے کمربستہ ہو، اپنی شان و شوکت سے ملبّس ہو جا!

And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

غلبہ اور کامیابی حاصل کر۔ سچائی، انکساری اور راستی کی خاطر لڑنے کے لئے نکل آ۔ تیرا دہنا ہاتھ تجھے حیرت انگیز کام دکھائے۔

Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

تیرے تیز تیر بادشاہ کے دشمنوں کے دلوں کو چھید ڈالیں۔ قومیں تیرے پاؤں میں گر جائیں۔

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

اے اللہ، تیرا تخت ازل سے ابد تک قائم و دائم رہے گا، اور انصاف کا شاہی عصا تیری بادشاہی پر حکومت کرے گا۔

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

تُو نے راست بازی سے محبت اور بےدینی سے نفرت کی، اِس لئے اللہ تیرے خدا نے تجھے خوشی کے تیل سے مسح کر کے تجھے تیرے ساتھیوں سے کہیں زیادہ سرفراز کر دیا۔

All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

مُر، عود اور املتاس کی بیش قیمت خوشبو تیرے تمام کپڑوں سے پھیلتی ہے۔ ہاتھی دانت کے محلوں میں تاردار موسیقی تیرا دل بہلاتی ہے۔

Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

بادشاہوں کی بیٹیاں تیرے زیورات سے سجی پھرتی ہیں۔ ملکہ اوفیر کا سونا پہنے ہوئے تیرے دہنے ہاتھ کھڑی ہے۔

Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

اے بیٹی، سن میری بات! غور کر اور کان لگا۔ اپنی قوم اور اپنے باپ کا گھر بھول جا۔

So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

بادشاہ تیرے حُسن کا آرزومند ہے، کیونکہ وہ تیرا آقا ہے۔ چنانچہ جھک کر اُس کا احترام کر۔

And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

صور کی بیٹی تحفہ لے کر آئے گی، قوم کے امیر تیری نظرِ کرم حاصل کرنے کی کوشش کریں گے۔

The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

بادشاہ کی بیٹی کتنی شاندار چیزوں سے آراستہ ہے۔ اُس کا لباس سونے کے دھاگوں سے بُنا ہوا ہے۔

She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

اُسے نفیس رنگ دار کپڑے پہنے بادشاہ کے پاس لایا جاتا ہے۔ جو کنواری سہیلیاں اُس کے پیچھے چلتی ہیں اُنہیں بھی تیرے سامنے لایا جاتا ہے۔

With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

لوگ شادمان ہو کر اور خوشی مناتے ہوئے اُنہیں وہاں پہنچاتے ہیں، اور وہ شاہی محل میں داخل ہوتی ہیں۔

Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

اے بادشاہ، تیرے بیٹے تیرے باپ دادا کی جگہ کھڑے ہو جائیں گے، اور تُو اُنہیں رئیس بنا کر پوری دنیا میں ذمہ داریاں دے گا۔

I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

پشت در پشت مَیں تیرے نام کی تمجید کروں گا، اِس لئے قومیں ہمیشہ تک تیری ستائش کریں گی۔
