Jeremiah 30

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

رب کا کلام یرمیاہ پر نازل ہوا،

Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

”رب اسرائیل کا خدا فرماتا ہے کہ جو بھی پیغام مَیں نے تجھ پر نازل کئے اُنہیں کتاب کی صورت میں قلم بند کر!

For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے کہ وہ وقت آنے والا ہے جب مَیں اپنی قوم اسرائیل اور یہوداہ کو بحال کر کے اُس ملک میں واپس لاؤں گا جو مَیں نے اُن کے باپ دادا کو میراث میں دیا تھا۔“

And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

یہ اسرائیل اور یہوداہ کے بارے میں رب کے فرمان ہیں۔

For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

”رب فرماتا ہے، ’خوف زدہ چیخیں سنائی دے رہی ہیں۔ امن کا نام و نشان تک نہیں بلکہ چاروں طرف دہشت ہی دہشت پھیلی ہوئی ہے۔

Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

کیا مرد بچے جنم دے سکتا ہے؟ تو پھر تمام مرد کیوں اپنے ہاتھ کمر پر رکھ کر دردِ زہ میں مبتلا عورتوں کی طرح تڑپ رہے ہیں؟ ہر ایک کا رنگ فق پڑ گیا ہے۔

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

افسوس! وہ دن کتنا ہول ناک ہو گا! اُس جیسا کوئی نہیں ہو گا۔ یعقوب کی اولاد کو بڑی مصیبت پیش آئے گی، لیکن آخرکار اُسے رِہائی ملے گی۔‘

For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

رب فرماتا ہے، ’اُس دن مَیں اُن کی گردن پر رکھے جوئے اور اُن کی زنجیروں کو توڑ ڈالوں گا۔ تب وہ غیرملکیوں کے غلام نہیں رہیں گے

But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

بلکہ رب اپنے خدا اور داؤد کی نسل کے اُس بادشاہ کی خدمت کریں گے جسے مَیں برپا کر کے اُن پر مقرر کروں گا۔‘

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

چنانچہ رب فرماتا ہے، ’اے یعقوب میرے خادم، مت ڈر! اے اسرائیل، دہشت مت کھا! دیکھ، مَیں تجھے دُوردراز علاقوں سے اور تیری اولاد کو جلاوطنی سے چھڑا کر واپس لے آؤں گا۔ یعقوب واپس آ کر سکون سے زندگی گزارے گا، اور اُسے پریشان کرنے والا کوئی نہیں ہو گا۔‘

For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے، ’مَیں تیرے ساتھ ہوں، مَیں ہی تجھے بچاؤں گا۔ مَیں اُن تمام قوموں کو نیست و نابود کر دوں گا جن میں مَیں نے تجھے منتشر کر دیا ہے، لیکن تجھے مَیں اِس طرح صفحۂ ہستی سے نہیں مٹاؤں گا۔ البتہ مَیں مناسب حد تک تیری تنبیہ کروں گا، کیونکہ مَیں تجھے سزا دیئے بغیر نہیں چھوڑ سکتا۔‘

For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے، ’تیرا زخم لاعلاج ہے، تیری چوٹ بھر ہی نہیں سکتی۔

There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

کوئی نہیں ہے جو تیرے حق میں بات کرے، تیرے پھوڑوں کا معالجہ اور تیری شفا ممکن ہی نہیں!

All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

تیرے تمام عاشق تجھے بھول گئے ہیں اور تیری پروا ہی نہیں کرتے۔ تیرا قصور بہت سنگین ہے، تجھ سے بےشمار گناہ سرزد ہوئے ہیں۔ اِسی لئے مَیں نے تجھے دشمن کی طرح مارا، ظالم کی طرح تنبیہ دی ہے۔

Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

اب جب چوٹ لگ گئی ہے اور لاعلاج درد محسوس ہو رہا ہے تو تُو مدد کے لئے کیوں چیختا ہے؟ یہ مَیں ہی نے تیرے سنگین قصور اور متعدد گناہوں کی وجہ سے تیرے ساتھ کیا ہے۔

Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

لیکن جو تجھے ہڑپ کریں اُنہیں بھی ہڑپ کیا جائے گا۔ تیرے تمام دشمن جلاوطن ہو جائیں گے۔ جنہوں نے تجھے لُوٹ لیا اُنہیں بھی لُوٹا جائے گا، جنہوں نے تجھے غارت کیا اُنہیں بھی غارت کیا جائے گا۔‘

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے، ’مَیں تیرے زخموں کو بھر کر تجھے شفا دوں گا، کیونکہ لوگوں نے تجھے مردود قرار دے کر کہا ہے کہ صیون کو دیکھو جس کی فکر کوئی نہیں کرتا۔‘

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

رب فرماتا ہے، ’دیکھو، مَیں یعقوب کے خیموں کی بدنصیبی ختم کروں گا، مَیں اسرائیل کے گھروں پر ترس کھاؤں گا۔ تب یروشلم کو کھنڈرات پر نئے سرے سے تعمیر کیا جائے گا، اور محل کو دوبارہ اُس کی پرانی جگہ پر کھڑا کیا جائے گا۔

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

اُس وقت وہاں شکرگزاری کے گیت اور خوشی منانے والوں کی آوازیں بلند ہو جائیں گی۔ اور مَیں دھیان دوں گا کہ اُن کی تعداد کم نہ ہو جائے بلکہ مزید بڑھ جائے۔ اُنہیں حقیر نہیں سمجھا جائے گا بلکہ مَیں اُن کی عزت بہت بڑھا دوں گا۔

Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

اُن کے بچے قدیم زمانے کی طرح محفوظ زندگی گزاریں گے، اور اُن کی جماعت مضبوطی سے میرے حضور قائم رہے گی۔ لیکن جتنوں نے اُن پر ظلم کیا ہے اُنہیں مَیں سزا دوں گا۔

And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.

اُن کا حکمران اُن کا اپنا ہم وطن ہو گا، وہ دوبارہ اُن میں سے اُٹھ کر تخت نشین ہو جائے گا۔ مَیں خود اُسے اپنے قریب لاؤں گا تو وہ میرے قریب آئے گا۔‘ کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے، ’صرف وہی اپنی جان خطرے میں ڈال کر میرے قریب آنے کی جرٲت کر سکتا ہے جسے مَیں خود اپنے قریب لایا ہوں۔

And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

اُس وقت تم میری قوم ہو گے اور مَیں تمہارا خدا ہوں گا‘۔“

Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

دیکھو، رب کا غضب زبردست آندھی کی طرح نازل ہو رہا ہے۔ تیز بگولے کے جھونکے بےدینوں کے سروں پر اُتر رہے ہیں۔

The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

اور رب کا شدید قہر اُس وقت تک ٹھنڈا نہیں ہو گا جب تک اُس نے اپنے دل کے منصوبوں کو تکمیل تک نہیں پہنچایا۔ آنے والے دنوں میں تمہیں اِس کی صاف سمجھ آئے گی۔
