II Chronicles 4

Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.

سلیمان نے پیتل کی ایک قربان گاہ بھی بنوائی جس کی لمبائی 30 فٹ، چوڑائی 30 فٹ اور اونچائی 15 فٹ تھی۔

Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

اِس کے بعد اُس نے پیتل کا بڑا گول حوض ڈھلوایا جس کا نام ’سمندر‘ رکھا گیا۔ اُس کی اونچائی ساڑھے 7 فٹ، اُس کا منہ 15 فٹ چوڑا اور اُس کا گھیرا تقریباً 45 فٹ تھا۔

And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did compass it round about: ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about. Two rows of oxen were cast, when it was cast.

حوض کے کنارے کے نیچے بَیلوں کی دو قطاریں تھیں۔ فی فٹ تقریباً 6 بَیل تھے۔ بَیل اور حوض مل کر ڈھالے گئے تھے۔

It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

حوض کو بَیلوں کے 12 مجسموں پر رکھا گیا۔ تین بَیلوں کا رُخ شمال کی طرف، تین کا رُخ مغرب کی طرف، تین کا رُخ جنوب کی طرف اور تین کا رُخ مشرق کی طرف تھا۔ اُن کے پچھلے حصے حوض کی طرف تھے، اور حوض اُن کے کندھوں پر پڑا تھا۔

And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies; and it received and held three thousand baths.

حوض کا کنارہ پیالے بلکہ سوسن کے پھول کی طرح باہر کی طرف مُڑا ہوا تھا۔ اُس کی دیوار تقریباً تین انچ موٹی تھی، اور حوض میں پانی کے تقریباً 66,000 لٹر سما جاتے تھے۔

He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

سلیمان نے 10 باسن ڈھلوائے۔ پانچ کو رب کے گھر کے دائیں ہاتھ اور پانچ کو اُس کے بائیں ہاتھ کھڑا کیا گیا۔ اِن باسنوں میں گوشت کے وہ ٹکڑے دھوئے جاتے جنہیں بھسم ہونے والی قربانی کے طور پر جلانا تھا۔ لیکن ’سمندر‘ نامی حوض اماموں کے استعمال کے لئے تھا۔ اُس میں وہ نہاتے تھے۔

And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their form, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.

سلیمان نے سونے کے 10 شمع دان مقررہ تفصیلات کے مطابق بنوا کر رب کے گھر میں رکھ دیئے، پانچ کو دائیں طرف اور پانچ کو بائیں طرف۔

He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made an hundred basons of gold.

دس میزیں بھی بنا کر رب کے گھر میں رکھی گئیں، پانچ کو دائیں طرف اور پانچ کو بائیں طرف۔ اِن چیزوں کے علاوہ سلیمان نے چھڑکاؤ کے سونے کے 100 کٹورے بنوائے۔

Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.

پھر سلیمان نے وہ اندرونی صحن بنوایا جس میں صرف اماموں کو داخل ہونے کی اجازت تھی۔ اُس نے بڑا صحن بھی اُس کے دروازوں سمیت بنوایا۔ دروازوں کے کواڑوں پر پیتل چڑھایا گیا۔

And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south.

’سمندر‘ نامی حوض کو صحن کے جنوب مشرق میں رکھا گیا۔

And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;

حیرام نے باسن، بیلچے اور چھڑکاؤ کے کٹورے بھی بنائے۔ یوں اُس نے اللہ کے گھر میں وہ سارا کام مکمل کیا جس کے لئے سلیمان بادشاہ نے اُسے بُلایا تھا۔ اُس نے ذیل کی چیزیں بنائیں:

To wit, the two pillars, and the pommels, and the chapiters which were on the top of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were on the top of the pillars;

دو ستون، ستونوں پر لگے پیالہ نما بالائی حصے، بالائی حصوں پر لگی زنجیروں کا ڈیزائن،

And four hundred pomegranates on the two wreaths; two rows of pomegranates on each wreath, to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were upon the pillars.

زنجیروں کے اوپر لگے انار (فی بالائی حصہ 200 عدد)،

He made also bases, and lavers made he upon the bases;

ہتھ گاڑیاں، اِن پر کے پانی کے باسن،

One sea, and twelve oxen under it.

حوض بنام سمندر، اِسے اُٹھانے والے بَیل کے 12 مجسمے،

The pots also, and the shovels, and the fleshhooks, and all their instruments, did Huram his father make to king Solomon for the house of the LORD of bright brass.

بالٹیاں، بیلچے، گوشت کے کانٹے۔ تمام سامان جو حیرام ابی نے سلیمان کے حکم پر رب کے گھر کے لئے بنایا پیتل سے ڈھال کر پالش کیا گیا تھا۔

In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.

بادشاہ نے اُسے وادیِ یردن میں سُکات اور ضرتان کے درمیان ڈھلوایا۔ وہاں ایک فونڈری تھی جہاں حیرام نے گارے سے سانچے بنا کر ہر چیز ڈھال دی۔

Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.

اِس سامان کے لئے سلیمان بادشاہ نے اِتنا زیادہ پیتل استعمال کیا کہ اُس کا کُل وزن معلوم نہ ہو سکا۔

And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

اللہ کے گھر کے اندر کے لئے سلیمان نے درجِ ذیل سامان بنوایا: سونے کی قربان گاہ، سونے کی وہ میزیں جن پر رب کے لئے مخصوص روٹیاں پڑی رہتی تھیں،

Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;

خالص سونے کے وہ شمع دان اور چراغ جن کو قواعد کے مطابق مُقدّس ترین کمرے کے سامنے جلنا تھا،

And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;

خالص سونے کے وہ پھول جن سے شمع دان آراستہ تھے، خالص سونے کے چراغ اور بتی کو بجھانے کے اوزار،

And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

چراغ کو کترنے کے خالص سونے کے اوزار، چھڑکاؤ کے خالص سونے کے کٹورے اور پیالے، جلتے ہوئے کوئلے کے لئے خالص سونے کے برتن، مُقدّس ترین کمرے اور بڑے ہال کے دروازے۔
