Psalms 30

I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

(Un psalm. O cîntare pentru sfinţirea Casei Domnului, făcută de David.) Te înalţ, Doamne, căci m'ai ridicat, şi n'ai lăsat pe vrăjmaşii mei să se bucure de mine.

O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

Doamne, Dumnezeule, eu am strigat către Tine, şi Tu m'ai vindecat.

O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Doamne, Tu mi-ai ridicat sufletul din locuinţa morţilor, Tu m'ai adus la viaţă din mijlocul celor ce se pogoară în groapă.

Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Cîntaţi Domnului, voi cei iubiţi de El, măriţi prin laudele voastre Numele Lui cel Sfînt!

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Căci mînia Lui ţine numai o clipă, dar îndurarea Lui ţine toată viaţa: seara vine plînsul, iar dimineaţa veselia.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

Cînd îmi mergea bine, ziceam: ,,Nu mă voi clătina niciodată!``

LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

Doamne, prin bunăvoinţa Ta mă aşezasei pe un munte tare... dar Ţi-ai ascuns Faţa, şi m'am turburat.

I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.

Doamne, eu am strigat către tine, şi m'am rugat Domnului, zicînd:

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

,,Ce vei cîştiga dacă-mi verşi sîngele, şi mă pogori în groapă? Poate să Te laude ţărîna? Poate ea să vestească credincioşia Ta?

Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

Ascultă, Doamne, ai milă de mine! Doamne, ajută-mă!`` -

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Şi mi-ai prefăcut tînguirile în veselie, mi-ai deslegat sacul de jale, şi m'ai încins cu bucurie,

To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

pentruca inima mea să-Ţi cînte, şi să nu stea mută. Doamne, Dumnezeule, eu pururea Te voi lăuda!
